Excellent service/I have expected more unique cooking /it’s too expensive

This is genuine excellent 3 Michelin star restaurant!!!👍👍👍

The food was between good and excellent, but a little bit old-fashioned. It seems that they are focused on keeping Bocuse record and do not innovate that much.

The cheese cart and birthday machine were amazing touches! Staff was extremely attentive and welcoming.

Simply breathtaking experience

Unbelievable. Slight mix-up with a dairy allergy but aside from that utterly magical for every single second. Wine choices were perfect, good luck in chateau neuf du pape ;)

The Auberge is Paul Bocuse's first restaurant, and the staff honors his legacy every moment. I have been to top restaurants on four continents, and this has been one of my two or three best experiences. The dishes are beautifully prepared and served, but taste has never been sacrificed for technique. There were no wasted movements by the servers, and their explanations and presentations only added to the experience. There is no doubt that the cost of the meal will be significant, more than most Broadway shows. But if you are already somewhat immersed in the world of gastronomy and wine, you know that already. I have dreamed of visiting this restaurant for over fifty years, and I was not disappointed.

An institution of French cuisine, this restaurant delivers an experience of remarkable generosity and charm. From the warm welcome to the unhurried pace of service, guests are encouraged to take their time and savor every detail. The dining room exudes tradition, and the team’s attentiveness ensures a refined yet approachable atmosphere. The food is elegant and deeply rooted in classic recipes, with flavors that are researched but remain clear and simple. A highlight is the series of trolleys, from cheese to desserts, offering an abundance of choice and allowing guests to indulge as much as they wish, a gesture that feels both luxurious and rare today. While a few details could be polished, such as clearer introductions to the menus when seated, the overall experience is memorable. This is a place for those who wish to enjoy French gastronomy at its most authentic. Congratulation and merci.

The food was very delicious. The only regret was that we took a 20 euro taxi from the hotel. It was raining when we were leaving, so the restaurant called a private car to the hotel. They charged 40 euros without a meter, which became 35 euros after bargaining. I suggest you take a regular taxi or uber back to the city.

Amazing restaurant with history. The food was excellent, the waiters' work too. The restaurant left amazing exceptional impressions. The only thing that marred the evening and for which the rating was reduced was the offer of a taxi after dinner from the lobby boy. This is a pure scam. With the price of a comfort class taxi at 20 euros, we were offered an old car, which is not an official taxi and the cost of the trip was 45 euros. An unpleasant impression was left after such service. I do not recommend it.

What an amazing experience! Came from Houston Texas to see the lavender fields and took the train up from Aix en Provence!

A charming restaurant with excellent service and exquisite cuisine. The interior combines traditional, modern, and welcoming elements.

The service was excellent for the first 5 courses and then fell apart. This is supposed to be a 2 star Michelin restaurant with a history of excellence. It started great but fell apart after the main was served. It seemed like the restaurant became busy and the servers disappeared. We ordered the century menu and it was all cooked well but it was one note with heavy sauce. The restaurant really needs to respond to the times while respecting the past. I’m sad to say that today this is a one star restaurant at best. Mr. Bocuse was a rebel sadly the rebel is no more.

Our birthday dinner at the Auberge was unforgettable ! Every member of the staff was eager to make our experience special. They were welcoming, attentive, and eager to share their knowledge and expertise about the food, wine and place. We particularly enjoyed the birthday celebration which included a delicious chocolate gift, and, the absolutely impressive variety of desserts !

It was an unforgettable and magnificent experience. The service, the ambiance and the delicious food were far beyond my expectations. Also, meeting the chef and being in his kitchen was a very special treat, thank you again. In addition, being given the menu as a gift upon exit was a very nice memory.

The food and the service were very good. The inside looks more appropriate than the outside, which looks corky. One extra comment: it gets a bit hot inside though.

+7Every moment from the reservation to the moment we left the restaurant after eating was such a happy time.

Geoffrey our lead server offered the right balance of professional + friendly service throughout the entire meal. His focus on excellence from the time we sat down to when we left was top-notch! The food was the best we ate in Lyon! We previously went to Gastronomique Christian Tetedoie and Takao Takano during the week before we went to Paul Bocuse but the service and food experience at Bocuse will bring us back again and again when we visit Lyon in the future.

Dining here is truly an exceptional, memorable experience. Going beyond the deliciousness, here you experience the long history and traditions of Bocuse's and Lyon's haute cuisine. The dining staff are exceptional too. Warm and very attentive to your preferences and interest. They quickly noted my interest in culinary history, and they reacted accordingly Finally the wine pairing. Jesus! They served some of the best and more remarkable wine I've had. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Fine cooking , no doubt and we enjoyed a very friendly and professional service .. The only bémol is , as part of meal and drink coupling option offered by the Centenaire menu , foreseeing only porto and not proposing red wine for the cheese part of the menu was off in terms of French gastronomy ..

Excellent culinary experience from the entrance to the end. Each course was a surprise with superb flavours. The cheese and dessert trays were extraordinary and will always be remembered. The staff were engaging and very attentive to ensure I had an amazing experience. A must stop in Lyon!

The duck was the best dish I have ever had and the rest of the dinner was incredible, as was the service. An extremely well done wine pairing.

The restaurant is amazing and the food impeccable! It’s for the 3 star Michelin 🙌🏻

It is very evident why this place did not ever regain their third Michelin Star. The food is excellent and well-executed, but trapped in a previous century. The staff seem as delighted to be here as Alcatraz inmates, but are competent enough. Sadly the ambience is therefore reminiscent of the funerary arrangements for your pompous great aunt. Sorry but I had higher expectations.
