An amazing venue - very luxurious and certainly impressive. It makes one feel that the occasion is special just by being there. The staff are excellent and make you feel like VIP’s. The food choices were diverse and there is something for everyone. The food was very well presented and served with care. It was also delicious! Full marks go to the chefs and waiting staff , including the sommelier. Thank you for making our evening so special and enjoyable.

The service and ambiance were wonderful.Exactly what you would expect from this level of restaurant. We did book through the Fork and had a 30% discount voucher which the restaurant knew about in advance. It appeared that may have impacted the food "volume". We both ordered surf and turf. Surf was a very small amount of lobster...disappointing. The steak was excellent. We also ordered the vegetarian asparagus entree to share as our side. It was €15 so imagine our surprise when the dish came out with 8-10 skinny stems! Overall, delicious food, GREAT service and beautiful venue.

This was Valentines evening. We had the regular menu and as always was amazing but tonight the singer was fantastic and actually made our evening.

Our first visit to Authentic was somewhat of a surprise. The 30% fork discount brought it into reality. The entrance and indeed everything about the place screams oppulence. We were taken to one of many lovely tables, my first thoughts on being seated was how busy the place was. To the menu and again I was pleased that despite being Dubai prices there were some reasonably priced dishes on the menu and even on the wine list I found a perfectly quaffable rose for €30 in amounst the €100s options. In all we were very impressed, quality of food was outstanding, service on the whole was attentive, atmosphere with the delightful pianist in the background, set the whole thing off perfectly. My only gripe was that once we finished it took an age to get the attention of a waiter, who to be fair were all running around AND the big negative was not automatically getting the 30% discount until reminding them, slightly embarrassing end to the otherwise wonderful evening.

The best restaurant I have been to in the Algarve without a doubt. Everything is just way above the average level (even of nicer restaurants here). You will not be disappointed..

Simply divine. Our latest visit to Authentic was just perfect. Such a treat and a level above everything else, maybe bar Gusto’s. The venue is still breath taking and the food just keeps getting better and better. We will be back later in the year. I can’t recommend trying Authentic enough.

Beautiful restaurant very expensive though, My starter was not good we asked for calamari and it came hard and nearly burnt. not happy with that . The main was better really enjoyed it so my experience was 50/50 . . would I go again I don't think so as it's not really my style I like more up lifting restaurants with a vibe .

We have been a few times before but standards have definitely risen .Everything tonight was first class.It was so good we booked again for next Saturday!!

Service very good. Interesting menu although desert menu choice very limited and expensive (48€ for Crepes Suzette is over the top). Quality and presentation of food good. Interior design very ostentatious if not tacky. Uncomfortable chairs for a long sit. Overall price for dishes and drinks too high and pretentious. Eg glass of champagne at €25 and similar for wine per glass.

Without exception the staff were charming and a pleasure to deal with.The ambiance can be summarised in one word= Versacce. The piano player was great and had a good voice with a repertoire that suited us ( not spring chickens) The food was well prepared except the Crepe suzette which was a bit bland and it was ridiculously priced at €48. You have to ignore the prices and just enjoy the experience. Our bill for two, and my wife does not drink alcohol at all, was €375 before adding a tip. We will go back on special occasions.

Warm welcome, beautiful interior and attentive service. We started with a superb quality glass of the House champagne poured by the restaurant's wonderful Sommelier. She was clearly very knowledgeable about all the wines on the vast wine list and there was a good choice of wine by the glass. We were eager to try the food with such a promising start. The Couvert was not as exciting as we expected for the price charged. We were wowed by our starters - Spider crab soup and Beef tartare. Both were outstanding. But our mains unfortunately didn't have the same impact both in flavour or presentation. We didn't have a dessert. I think this restaurant will be one of the best in the area but needs a few more tweaks with the menu to get there.

Nothing to fault here, restaurant is amazing as is both the food and staff. I will definitely return.
