10/10Simply divine. Our latest visit to Authentic was just perfect. Such a treat and a level above everything else, maybe bar Gusto’s. The venue is still breath taking and the food just keeps getting better and better. We will be back later in the year. I can’t recommend trying Authentic enough.

6.5/10Beautiful restaurant very expensive though, My starter was not good we asked for calamari and it came hard and nearly burnt. not happy with that . The main was better really enjoyed it so my experience was 50/50 . . would I go again I don't think so as it's not really my style I like more up lifting restaurants with a vibe .

7.5/10Service very good. Interesting menu although desert menu choice very limited and expensive (48€ for Crepes Suzette is over the top). Quality and presentation of food good. Interior design very ostentatious if not tacky. Uncomfortable chairs for a long sit. Overall price for dishes and drinks too high and pretentious. Eg glass of champagne at €25 and similar for wine per glass.

9/10Without exception the staff were charming and a pleasure to deal with.The ambiance can be summarised in one word= Versacce. The piano player was great and had a good voice with a repertoire that suited us ( not spring chickens) The food was well prepared except the Crepe suzette which was a bit bland and it was ridiculously priced at €48. You have to ignore the prices and just enjoy the experience. Our bill for two, and my wife does not drink alcohol at all, was €375 before adding a tip. We will go back on special occasions.

9/10Warm welcome, beautiful interior and attentive service. We started with a superb quality glass of the House champagne poured by the restaurant's wonderful Sommelier. She was clearly very knowledgeable about all the wines on the vast wine list and there was a good choice of wine by the glass. We were eager to try the food with such a promising start. The Couvert was not as exciting as we expected for the price charged. We were wowed by our starters - Spider crab soup and Beef tartare. Both were outstanding. But our mains unfortunately didn't have the same impact both in flavour or presentation. We didn't have a dessert. I think this restaurant will be one of the best in the area but needs a few more tweaks with the menu to get there.

We really enjoyed our visit to this gorgeous new restaurant in Vale do Lobo. The setting & decor was stunning, a very luxurious & classy feel to it. The food and service was phenomenal and Oscar in particular was an amazingly knowledgable waiter and such a lovely man to chat to. We were celebrating our honeymoon and enjoyed this very special setting. We would highly recommend and will definitely return ❤️

7.5/10It was our first visit to Authentic. We were a bit apprehensive to go there at the beginning but turned out it wasn’t too bad. The service was great. Our starters were very nice but disappointed with our main. They have asked us about the food so we were honest and commented about the food and the staff did apologise. Although the whole restaurant is a bit over the top with the decor and it doesn’t really go with the Algarve atmosphere, but it did not look too tacky as I expected.

5.5/10Both fish dishes dry and bland. Potato was cool. The bread sauce was no addition to the fish. Lamb was good but disliked eating out of a copper dish felt crude. Staff were very nice and attentive.

10/10Just want the Algarve needed an upmarket restaurant with a little life & soul in … I like to people watch and by far here it’s like a show …it’s a wow factor as soon as your walk through the door, decor. staff ,food, the pianist, amazing jazz band .. it can be pricey.. but they also have some dishes that are in line with others restaurant price list … if you like great service and food you will be sure to return

A hidden gem! Live music which was beautiful, food was perfect, service was perfect! It’s a new restaurant so get here quickly as this is the type of place that’s a sell out come next year! Staff were all very lovely and friendly and the overall experience was as lovely - 100% recommend

10/10An absolutely stunning restaurant, in a class of its own in terms of ambience, decor, food and service and nothing compares in the Algarve. There are numerous beach style venues and other high quality restaurants in the area, but nothing matches this venue.

Dear Mr. Bart, we are very sorry, that you didn´t enjoyed our experience with us, and we do hope that you in a near future, you could give us an opportunity to improve and create a different moment at the Authentic. However regarding the cameras, I hope you can understand, the restaurant, is filled with a lot of expensive items, and for security reasons we do have to have cameras inside the restaurant, and it works for both sides, for our protection, but also for our guests , so everyone an feel safe and protected, also our insurance company, regarding all the values we have inside, requires us to have a surveillance system. We hope you can understand, and maybe next time, you can enjoy your dinner outside in our lovely terrace. Best regards João Barracha

10/10Fantastic food and the people were lovely! We had the tuna tartare to start and honestly it’s one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Steak and lamb were both amazing. A special place.
