10/10We really appreciated being able to make a reservation with short notice, and really enjoyed the tasting menu. Even with our very limited Italian, we were able to communicate with the kind lady there and got to chat a bit with the chef as well. This was a great chance to get off the beaten path and better experience Tivoli.

10/10This restaurant is a gem! Family owned and operated, great service and delicious food. We enjoyed a multiple course Christmas lunch and every dish was out-of-this-world delicious. Highly recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is small with only a few tables.

10/10Chef and his mother run an incredible restaurant. Very small and quaint with several tasting menus, varying prices and even vegan options. He even has a 25€ option. We opted for the €45 Area Creativa. We were not disappointed and returned two more nights to try more dishes. Definitely worth searching for this restaurant as it is not on the main road but some of the best food we’ve eaten in Italy if not the best.

10/10The little restaurant was a hidden gem—comparable to Chef Edward Lee. Raoul and his mother are attentive and delivered the best food we ate in Tivoli. We actually ate here three times, having the chef pick via Area Creative each time. Great wine selection. Very much an unexpected treat with a varied meal each of the three times. Well worth searching for this restaurant.

10/10This is like going to someone’s home and have an amazing dinner party. There are only about 8 tables and very much feels like a family. Food is very good and well presented and paced. We followed the chef’s recommendation and wine pairings and it was fabulous. But all the dishes see saw around us looked amazing too! Definitely make a reservation and go.

10/10The loveliest experience we've had so far in Italy. Inventive, beautiful and delicious food prepared in a simple, unpretentious setting and served with the utmost attentiveness and care. The sort of place Anthony Bourdain made his career discovering.

8.5/10We were very excited to eat something more experimental in a cosy setting and were happy we got a table. Ordered the 'Area creativa' menu in vegetarian for the three of us. The creme brulee starter was absolutely incredible, the prosecco and wine were great as well, and so was the starter and primi piatti. All wonderful and beautifully made plates too. The main course however was very bland and consisted of just a plate full of steamed vegetables with some (good!) olive oil. No other addition or flavor. I believe this might have just been bad luck for us, because the rest of the dishes were great and the other available veggie dishes on the menu looked very promising as well. Desert was great too. We would come back next time, but would choose the specific dishes. Service was great!

10/10We found out about this unique dinning establishment before coming to Italy. Four of us thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely meal after Raoul gave us a detailed explanation of his menu. He also helped us choose a superb Lazio wine. This was one of the best dinning experiences I have had anywhere in my seventy plus years.

10/10Superb food. We had a five course chef designed menu with matching wines. It was excellent, from the rather clever tomato “crème brûlée” with pecorino cream, to the six desert tasting plate with matching desert wine. Awesome throughout! The homemade limoncello was superb, but they also made a liquorish version, which I had to buy, it was amazing. The whole experience was stunning, and fantastic value for money.

10/10My fiance found this place after a bit of research and it has definitely been one of the best, if not the best, dining experience we’ve ever had! We got lucky since we were only one of two couples dining the entire time (not sure how that happened). Chef Raoul was able to create divine dishes for my love who is vegan and allergic to dairy, gluten, corn, and soy! If you want to feel special and eat well then you at least have to try this place out.

10/10A special experience. Owner and mother looking after you all night. Limited tables and therefore very intimate. The food was fantastic but really the special family service and owner/chef personal experience is what we loved so much. That and his special homemade aperitif! Highly recommended.

10/10One of the better meals I've had in Italy. Very talented chef who uses exciting combinations of quality ingredients to make delicious compositions – all beautifully presented. The value for money is very good, also for wine and drinks. Friendly and welcoming service. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to try great Italian food with creative twists.

10/10We had a wonderful experience, service, food (quality and presentation superb) and ambiance. We are returning to Tivoli next year with friends and this restaurant will be a definite booking. Before we left they gave us a glass of their own liquorice liqueur which was so amazing that we bought a bottle!

10/10Amazing food in a great family run restaurant. We took the menu 'non solo carne' and enjoyed it very much. Absolutely recommended! Prices are very fair considering the quality and diversity of the dishes.

10/10Creative, carefully prepared and excellent dinner. Charming host and hostess and personal attention to every detail. The pork was brined and slow cooked, the seafood salad so fresh and briny. Perfect ravioli and dessert that put us right over the top. Great choice!

10/10The food, cooked, presented and tasted, was gourmet. The personal care and service we received was outstanding. The gift of pastry to take home for our breakfasts was a nice and unexpected ending an enjoyable meal. We spoke no Italian, but the proprietor helped translate. Our choices were correctly reflected in our servings. We heartily recommend.
