Two of us for dinner earlier this month. Overall, it was a good meal, but a few misses. The food presents well. Good flavors. The aji sauce on the chicken and spaghetti is a bit overwhelming and had a strange metal taste. Leche de tigre was good - wish it had more fish in it. The place was virtually empty and they sat us at a small two-top table. Not a lot of room when the table is up against the wall. So we felt crowded for the dinner. Cute little restaurant with typical Peruvian decor. While the server was super friendly and nice, all of the employees were gathered at the front of the restaurant for the duration of our meal. It was hard to get their attention. Twice, I had to walk up front to make a request. It would be nice if they paid more attention to the tables versus their personal conversations. I would’ve given the experience a 3.5, but rounded up to 4. Will additionally comment that the Pisco sours were delicious, but super small for the price.

Third trip to Spain and first to Awki, which is our mistake. Best experience from booking, seating , atmosphere, food, service, etc. They earned the high rating from impeccable service and the food experience. Fortunately we are in Madrid for a couple more weeks so we can experience a couple more times. Best fish and presentation in all forms we have had ever coupled with great service. Well done.

The food was great! Specially the ceviche, and the tallarines a la huancaina, the service was also super good, and super attentive. Overall a great experience.

Nested in a road full of touristy bars and next to the beautiful Four Seasons, the place look very normal and honestly uninviting from the outside. But don’t judge too early. The quality of the fish is incredible and the plates - from ceviches to tartas to causas - are on better than the other. It is at the level, or even better, than the praised and fashionables Quispes or Tampu in town. They also have good beers and piscos. It is a pity their wine list is so short - I would welcome more choices. Very much recommended!

Very good and smiling service. The Awki Ceviche was very tasty but the portion was small 8/10. The Asado meat portion was tiny, 60% of bones, 20% of fat, 20% meat (20g max) and the meat was very hard to chew which was never seen and very disappointing for a supposedly 4hours slow cooked meat. The only positives were the sides of the dish like the rice and the sauce, but what a disappointment... 2/10
