10/10Gabriele, what a fantastic character. Absolutely Love what this restaurant is doing and achieving. Compared with the hundreds of other eateries in Florence this stood out as remarkable. The food was excellent and different, everything we ordered was one of those (oh wow, this is good , Quiet savouring moments where you just nod in acceptance to each other. It was amusing as everyone else in the place was doing the same thing. We want to go back again and again. If you are in Florence , You should too. Good value, Honest service.

10/10The chef was very personable and created a very personal dining experience that we really enjoyed. There were a ton of gluten free options and they were absolutely delicious! We’re definitely going back to this restaurant next time we’re in Florence

10/10We were welcomed by Gabriel, the owner of the restaurant at the door. A very genuine guy, wanting to make sure you had the best time and food at his restaurant. We loved his recommendations and explanations of the food. All of the dishes were outstanding. We especially enjoyed the chickpea pancake. Highly recommended, and will come again ne t time we are in Florence.

10/10It's hard to think of what a better dining experience could have been. The attention to every detail in an intimate, relaxed, and slightly bohemian restaurant is second to none. The chef/owner Gabriele brings passion and creativity to every dish he creates with flavours that are original but never overpowering. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back for a second meal in three nights of our four in Florence. This is a place not to be missed on your visit. If you want a special meal that breaks away from the standard fare found at most central Florence spots - this is IT. Grazie mille Gabriele!

10/10Exceptional experience. Very authentic and creative cooking combined. The passion of the chef/owner came through in every dish and his personal service throughout our dinner was special. Look at the menu; it has an amazing. One of our best experiences in Italy this trip. Not fancy decor, but very nice and welcoming. We highly recommend it.

10/10We adored Borgo — easily our favorite meal after three days in Florence. The space is small and simple, more like a hip vintage apartment than a restaurant, and the vibe is just as intimate. The owner/chef/baker/waiter is both fun and attentive, and his passion for food is palpable. Though I eat meat, my partner and I shared three vegetarian dishes tonight — all of them excellent. The standout was the linguine with burnt onion sauce, licorice powder, and spring onion oil — one of the most creative and delicious pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Bravo to the Borgo team — this place is truly a gem!

10/10In a city full of tourist traps and average dining, this place is a gem! Passionate chef / owner whose enthusiasm for his dishes shines through. All three courses were fantastic, particularly the homemade pasta. Please take the effort to walk 5 mins away from the centre and get a genuine experience.

9.5/10The chef is outstanding. I have been to 2 and 3 star michelin restaurants in the past and his food is as good as theirs. Great pasta, duck, and pork. His chocolate cake is to die for. The chef works extremely hard to please and does so! Great meal!

10/10This was the second time in a week we visited this week and Borgo lived up to our first experience if not bettered it! The dishes are put together with care, originality and a deep understanding of flavour and texture! Sublime! And our host was attentive and helpful. I highly recommend at least one visit. Memorable.

10/10This was our favorite meal during our 10 nights in Italy. We loved everything about this restaurant, from the cozy atmosphere to the amazing food and wonderful service-- truly an experience and not just a dinner. Although I am not a vegetarian, I appreciated that there were plenty of options if you wanted to have a vegetarian meal. The chef/owner has perfected his art, and the only negative is we spent the rest of our trip comparing every meal to this one!

10/10Great intimate dinner experience. Warm welcome from the host in cosy dining area. Comfortable setting for a date with some fun decor choices ;-) Now for the food, so refreshing to see both BORGO’s mission statement and menu. Finally a place that uses local and seasonal ingredients and delivers it on a tailored menu. Very nice change from the washed out standard menu. Each dish was made with love and very well executed, perfectly delivering the autumn flavors. Thank you for the passion and nice recipe twists that made our dinner a great pleasure.

9.5/10The owner, Gabriele, is friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Most things are made at the restaurant from scatch with excellent ingredients. The place is small and quiet, furnished in a slightly vintage style. But Gabriele is the waiter, host, and cashier. When It's busy, it takes him a while to take orders, so you need to be patient. Last night was he didn't bring us bread, which is usually the second thing Italians put on the table. .

If you're looking for an amazing experience and delicious food, this is the place for you. It was an intimate, once-in-a-lifetime experience where the owner personally catered to every need and desire. He was delightful, and his food truly brought the entire experience together. 10/10Unforgettable, delightful, delicious food, charming vibe. Little place with a handful of tables but a big welcome. Gabrielle made us feel very at home and is very passionate about his food, that passion definitely made it's way onto the plate, best meal we had in Firenze, this place is just awesome and was a very special treat, not to be missed. Local produce, lovingly selected with some nice little twists and surprises on a menu where you pick anything in any order. Highly recommended and lots of fun!

9.5/10Chef-owner Gabriele was very attentive and happy to share the culinary secrets to his dish preparations. The rabbit roulade was tender and delicious wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with chanterelle mushrooms touched with thyme and accompanied with whipped potatoes. The chickpea pancake with vegetables was delightfully presented and my vegetarian wife found it superb. A bottle of Vermentino wine suggested by Gabriele provided the perfect accompaniment. Try BOrGO—it’s not like all the others.
