2/10We went on a very hot evening in June, and asked whether there was aircon. They said yes and led us inside, there was absolutely no a/c. No one asked us whether we wanted anything to drink and then asked us to order our food. The servers were quite rude. Also, we ordered and about 40 mins later received 3 of 7 dishes, with no rhyme or reason to which ones. (Not just appetizers or anything). Another 40 mins later, we received the rest. No one asked us if we wanted anything to drink the whole time we were there. Would not recommend.

+2Reasonably tasty food marred by variable service - and the maitre d' lying through his teeth about double charging for tips. The prawns sautéed were a hit. Very good focaccia. Ok Amarone wine. Wonderful spaghetti with meat sauce. The broccoli pasta was ok but not great and underdone. Carbonara was ok. "Servicio" 10% was included on the bill and was presented after paying with credit card for a 10/20/30% option. I noted tip had already been included and the maitre d' said servicio was a tax and not tip. I tipped 20% before looking it up. When I confronted him after he continued to insist servicio was tax and not tip. Beware!

9.5/10Food and service excellent. We chose lasagne, seafood risotto and focaccia. All delicious. Not sure why it showed a charge for service on the bill plus you add another tip “for the staff”. Apart from that, lovely restaurant

5/10Food was decent, but not spectacular. Waitor recommended to take catch of the day fish (sea bass), only disclosed after request that the price for this was 100 Euro (2 persons), meaning 50 Euro per person, what is for a middle class restaurant quite astonishing. For the bill, it came with a 8% service fee included. Upon asking, this was first explained as a tax, then as the restaurant service fee, and one was asked to add another 10-20% percent tip on top of that ...

Grazie per la recensione ,ci dispiace che non si sia trovata bene.Ci tengo però a precisare che,come chiaramente scritto sul menù il pescato del giorno costa 8.00 € l'etto che è perfettamente in linea con i prezzi di Roma,il costo del servizio anche è chiaramente indicato sul menù,per quanto riguarda la mancia è facoltativa, se uno vuole la lascia oppure no.Un cordiale saluto

8/10The food was good-not exceptional but good- the house wine and other offerings by the glass were terrible by anyone's standards- this could definitely be improved-are we not in Italy? What about Anselmi for a White House wine and a Valpolcinella for a red? We returned the wine basket that was put on the table (the waiter literally dropped it and walked away) when another waiter walked by-yet we were charged for it. I would not return there

7.5/10Waiters were quick to serve us and made an effort to understand and communicate with us. Food was good, not excellent. Little less tasty to other places at the same price range. Restaurant was a bit warm, air conditioning could be running stronger.

10/10Had a pasta dish (Mezze) and a pizza and boiled vegetable, side salad and focaccia bread. All dishes were fresh and tasty and the service was kind and responsive. Very good.

7.5/10The restaurant was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. Food was great and at a reasonable priced (we had a pizza and the sea bass). The staff was very cordial and efficient. Also seemed like a local joint and not too touristy, which is what we were looking for. Only drawback is that most of their wines are sold by the bottle and only two options in red that were sold by the glass. But those two options worked out for my husband and I. Highly recommend the place.

5.5/10We were not allowed to dine inside because we wore shorts and sneakers. The attendant told us aircon was not working but it was, i noticed when going inside to the restroom. I can understand a stricter dress code inside than in the terrace, but I hate when somebody lies to me or thinks I am dumb. Food was great as the previous 2 times I had been there, but this will be the 3rd and last.

10/10We were in Rome for 5 days and had dinner at Babbo 3 nights, mostly because of our waiter , Claudio who greeted us like old friends and ensured every aspect of our dining experience to be of the highest quality. Many thanks to him for making our birthdays the best!!

10/10We always go to Babbo when in Rome. Claudio is a great waiter/ matte d’ and the food is always very good. We’re here for 5 days and will go back again before we leave.

10/10Absolutely brilliant! The waiter we had was so knowledgeable, especially on the local fish, and attentive. Felt like we had met a friend he was so lovely and chatty. Have already recommended the restaurant to our friends should they visit Rome. Thank you so much!

6.5/10Food is fine and fairly priced. Hard sell to order starters was unwelcome and a bad way to start. Ambience was OK. Had to ask to change seating to good spot, in not very crowded setting, twice. Acoustics in back room were awful...could hear bellowing from other diners across the room .

4/10A pretty classic over-priced tourist trap. We were seated for 45 minutes before we got a drink, never offered water, and sold side dishes as though they were included. Avoid if possible.

7.5/10In spite of the fact that we were so happy about the restaurant, we were not offered the discount that we were entitled by having the initial online reservation via "thefork". Although I have shown the SMS that "thefork" has sent, the cashied didn't take it into consideration and didn't accept the discount.

4.5/10We had the Christmas menu. Most of what we got was cold by the time it arrived at the table. The entire menu was seafood and it wasn’t good.. Maybe the pizza is good but I wouldn’t return.

9.5/10Very nice local restaurant with great service (always impressed by staff that takes orders without noting it down, and remembers every detail) and food. Nice atmosphere although a bit warm inside the day we visited, hence a 4 on that topic. Recommend the place!

8.5/10Peter and his tray of fish was amazing. He was so informative and talked us through all the fish dishes. The food was really good as was the wine. The staff were amazing with my elderly mum, helping her up from her chair and up and down the steps
