All went well until we asked for a clarification of a preparation on the menu. Was the Foie Gras baked or merely seared (the menu said baked)? After a series of questions and with the help of another waiter the answer was merely seared. That interaction was enough to get us on the D-list. The Foie Gras came not seared and cold as a brick of butter. When we asked for the bottle of wine that we previously ordered, a cat and mouse game ensued until a French speaking diner at an adjacent table firmly told the waiter to stop and bring us the bottle we ordered. The bottle of Sauvignon Blanc arrived, poured into our previously used aperitiv glasses, and unceremoniously dropped at the table to warm as we ate. Frankly, if the food was better than average we would have looked past this. I do not recommend this restaurant unless you are totally fluent in French. Plus, the Michelin bib gourmand rating only applies to a very limited menu that might not appeal to most. There are better places.

Having dinner at Baca'v Boulogne was a superb experience. We ordered the 5 courses surprise option and it was amazingly delicious. 5 star food, service and atmosphere. Great value for money. Highly recommended. Thank you for the wonderful experience x

As group of foreign people (8) we were warmly welcomed. We tried our best French, which isn’t much, but could always fallback on English. We enjoyed the wine suggestions from Vincent and the food was excellent. We are looking forward to a next opportunity to dine at Baca’v.

We made reservation with 30%discount. Turned out to count only for the card not for the menu’s. We should have read the rules better. Nobody told us when we made our order. The chef told us that it was not his responsibility and that it was for the first time somebody complained about it. Found it very unfair and unpleasant reaction. Food was very good but service below level.

Wonderful experience! Came in with my husband to have a lunch and loved the overall ambiance and both the food presentation and quality. We both got the 3 servings lunch and enjoyed our meals a lot. We will be back soon!

We took the lunch menu. The food has met our expectations, the desserts were sublime. The quality of service could have been improved, menus were not immediately given (approx 15 minute wait). The hospitality of the wait staff was lukewarm compared to other restaurants of a similar calibre. If you are using TheForkPay, make sure to load the page in advance of paying as mobile connection may be spotty. I will definitely come back for the food and hopefully a warmer and more hospitable service.

It makes a difference when the restaurant employs a „pâtissier“ which is in charge of making only the déserts: best „Île Flottante“ I‘ve ever had. In total also a very good price/performance ratio. The Michelin Bib Gourmand is well deserved.
