It was quite busy on a Sunday, and we were a group of 5, so make sure to reserve a table at least a couple of days in advance, especially if your party has more than four people. The food was tasty, although the service was a bit slow, which is understandable given how crowded it was. The location is very convenient, as it’s close to a large underground public parking garage. One small downside was that the tables were very close together, so the space between tables felt a bit tight and close to other guests. We ended up ordering a few starters to share and a main course. We skipped dessert because the waiter informed us it would take about half an hour, and we were in a bit of a hurry, so we just had coffee instead.

Already visited several times. Definitely worth it if you like bacalhau. From the traditional to the modern way, absolutely impeccable.

Amazing experience, as always. This time we tried the Arroz de Bacalhau and it was amazing. Not the usual Arroz you’d expect, but the flavours were spot on. One our most tasteful ways of bacalhau that we’ve tried in Portugal. We’ll definitely come back to have it again. Service and ambiance were also good!

Food was excellent. Grilled prawn followed by one of there many versions of bacalhau. Both cooked to perfection. Accompanying wine was very good and all at a reasonable price. The service was really good and the restaurant very well presented.

Great friendly greeting andservice. The wine recommendation was spot on. The Cod Rice House Special was worthy of a Michelin star restaurant. We had the best price-quality relationship meal since we arrived in Portugal seven days ago and we have eaten in many highly recommended restaurants. The restaurant is by the wharf for the tourist boats, easily accessible with a contemporary, young vibe. Our young female waitress whose name i did not catch ensured we had a great experience. Gratitude to the whole staff.

This is a superb and stylish restaurant. The menu is simple yet innovative, delicious food served straight from the open kitchen. Each course can be paired with recommended wines. The value for money is incredible. Above all, the staff are friendly, attentive and keen to know you are enjoying your experience. Highly recommended!

Delicious food. Would absolutely try again. Had new (?) waiter that made overall experience less than it could have been. Our fault too for not speaking better Portguese. Still, a worthwhile dinner - just could have been better overall

We had a drink at the wine bar next door as we were early from our sightseeing in Averio while the restaurant was closed until 7pm. The wine bar service was very good and also owned by the same owner. For dinner, service was excellent and so were the preparations of the codfish prepared in 2 different ways. The staff even charged my iPhone for me while we were having dinner. They called the taxi for us after dinner and our waiter helped negotiate our fare with taxi driver to drop us at our hotel in Porto. It was a wonderful dinner and great waiters.

The food was really delicious. Everyone in our party of three loved what they had. The wine suggestion was fabulous and the dessert outstanding. We thought the service was just fine, not perfect but certainly as attentive as we needed it to be. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice meal. Good wine. Pasteis da Bacalhau to start - very good but did have a couple of bones which I wasn't expecting. Octopus with asparagus risotto was very tasty.

We discovered this restaurant on our first night in Averio and what a find, the service was excellent with friendly and very attentive staff. The food was exceptional, I had the most delicious prawn risotto and my husband had arroz cremoso de marisco bacalhau which he said was amazing. They have an outstanding Chef and deserve top results.

The place and the service were good. However even doing a reservation I ended up in a table next to the kitchen door. They took almost 40 minutes in bringing my order since the minute that I made my choice

Amazing food, presantation and food quality price ratio. We went there for the birthday celebration and had a wonderful time. Will go back in a heartbit next time we are in Aveiro.

This restaurant is one of our favourite ones in Aveiro. We truly recommend their waiter Uggo, who always exceeds our expectations. The menu is extensive, each dish has unique wine recommendations.

The restaurant is well-situated if you are staying in central Aveiro - easy to find. The interior was refurbished a month ago and is smart and modern; the pale colours and excellent lighting contributed to a nice ambience. The music was a too intrusive when we first arrived (1930hrs) but as the restaurant filled up during the evening, it became less noticeable. The waiter spoke excellent English and we were given an English version of the menu. He was knowledgeable about the ingredients and how the dishes were prepared. His knowledge of the wine was not as impressive, but we enjoyed his recommendation regardless. The food was delicious (sea food pasta/ prawn and citrus risotto) - nicely presented, well-seasoned and generous portion sizes.
