I have to admit to being slightly disappointed in my experience at Bacaro, knowing of its accolades before dining. I found the food to be over-priced and bland. Found 14 euros for some basic slices of pork and pickled vegetables to be excessive, especially in hindsight as they are only listed for 12 euros. The front of house staff were nice and friendly. But with the food I struggled to see the quality that got them a michelin bib gourmand. The difference in price versus other restaurants in the area doesn’t make it particularly good value in my opinion.

I am not very happy with my visit to this restaurant. I heard a lot of good recommendations however I have big issues with the dishes I ordered. For starters, the mozzarella di buffala should be much more milky and creamy plus the dressing or topping was very salty. Pasta wasn’t fine also cause it wasn’t al dente at all plus I didn’t find something special – just pasta with mushrooms and sauce I could cook by myself

Everything was amazing! I chose this place based on the great reviews and it didn't let us down. I made a reservation to celebrate my 2 year anniversary and we were treated so well. We had the mozzarella di bufala to start and some delicious bread followed by two amazing pasta dishes. Mine with mushrooms and my boyfriends was the special of the day with octopus. Both were amazing! To finish off we had the tiramisu and it was delicious. We will definitely be back!

food wasn't great. Service was terrible. we sat down right after the people next to us. They got their food and left happy while we were waiting for sooo long we canceled the remaining food and left. I might only recommend it to my mother-in-law.

Here's a review in English based on your input: --- I recently visited this establishment, having high expectations due to its recognition by Gambero Rosso. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the acclaim. The attention from the staff was poor, and the menu was flat and tasteless. After following Gambero Rosso recommendations in dozens of countries and cities, this experience was a real disappointment.

Small rustic out of the way spot. Absolutely loved the food. Staff was amazing and the owner was so friendly We had the burr att a Octupus Pasta pesto All was so delicious. I personally had the pasta bolognese. The best I’ve ever had.

The food and waitress were excellent, the male waiter not so much. Bacaro is a great little place offering terrific food at very reasonable prices. The wine list could be bigger but what we had (Sicilian bio Syrah) was very nice. But, as so often the bill arrived with the option to pay in USD. This is a scam! And it does no favors for the restaurants and other merchants who are paid to participate! All it does is tarnish the experience, and their reputations.

The place is very cozy but it also gets super busy…we did enjoy all of our meals and the tasty wine. The only thing is that I believe it’s a bit pricey :/ but overall we had an amazing dinner with my friend and I definitely will come back!

It was such a nice experience! The restaurant is super cozy and the food was delicious! Seafood carbonara was very nice and was amazing to have a carbonara with a twist! The waiters were also super nice and good recommendations for wine!

A friend gave us a recommendation to try this Bacaro and didn't steer us wrong! It was excellent. Great drinks, breads and olives to start. We had the fried artichoke appetizer which was very good and interesting. We had two main dishes...the Pasta Carbonara del Mar and the Duck. The pasta was as good or better than the pasta we had in Italy. The pasta was a provocation of Pasta Carbonara as it didn't have any bacon in it, but instead fish. It did not taste fishy however and was absolutely delicious. I could eat this dish everyday. The duck was equally good, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. It had a sweet sauce and was paired with cooked fruits that brought out the duck flavor.
