Very rare you can enjoy Afghan food in Holland in a restaurant. But in Eindhoven there is one. Bamiyan Restaurant is a cozy restaurant where you are welcomed very friendly. The food can be described as a mix of Mediterranean and Indian. They have all kind of platters with rice and meat accompanied with some vegetables like pumpkin, spinach, eggplant and of course salad. Side dishes are a dip with yogurt and mint and a kind of hot salsa. The meat is grilled or baked in some kind of a curry. But also for vegetarians there is enough choice. And they are willing to make something new for you if you can't find something on the menu that suites you. The restaurant can be find in the suburb of Eindhoven but it's definitely worthwhile to go there and taste the Afghan food. And... the service is fantastic.
