The quality of the food and clearly the chef’s touch in every dish. We had tapas as starters and they were delicious. We chose bonuelos and calamari brioche. And the main dishes were also well presented and very tasty. We had cod, a cold dish with a perfect combination of ingredients. The crema Catalans for dessert was a good choice to be shared.

10/10Excellent service and knowledge by the staff the CHEF DANI is a top class chef his dishes are sublime, we did the Barcelona menu and enjoyed every single bite. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.

10/10Very nice restaurant. Traditional Spanish food with a modern twist. The croquetas starters were really delicious as was the squid, both the fried and grilled options. For main dish try the pork “pluma de bellota” delicious. They specialise in oysters but no one in our group ordered them yet there is sufficient choice for a supper meal.

10/10Definitely the best meal we've ever had in Madrid. The food was amazing. We had the Madrid menù which let's you try most of the best dishes they have. The patatas bravas, while simple, was executed perfectly, the tartar de vieira y bogavante was incredible, and the encevichada was a lovely way to start the meal. The mains -- albondigas and bacalao are classic dishes executed really well. The dessert was just the right quantity and the cheesecake was better than what we were expecting. Finally we had a bottle of Tagonius Crianza which just elevated the whole experience. Overall an amazing evening. We were treated like royalty and we are already looking for an excuse to come back.

7.5/10The Maitre de rescued our evening at this nice place. Don’t get us wrong, the food was good - the chef and his team ran a swift pass, were very committed to quality and taste. The timing of some of the tapas was unfortunate - we would have loved the extraordinary croquettes earlier - but I guess that is the luck of the draw! The lobster salad - much lauded, is good. The issue was a very sullen, sulky and rather unfriendly waiter. He really let the Brigade down. The Maitre de spotted that we and others were not getting the famed service and stepped in. He was marvellous. Knowledgeable about wines, food, travel and such fun. He and the chef ensured that the last 50% of our night was much improved. Thank you both.

10/10Solo diner. Table was ready for one person and service was excellent. I think it was the chef that greeted me and brought my first dish since restaurant wasn’t busy yet. I was there at 8pm and people started to roll in after 9pm

Very good food. Interesting contrast of the traditional croquettes with the unique lobster salad. Correct portion sizes for the price. Staff were attentive to our comfort.

10/10Spectacular dinner. The area has plenty of really good restaurants and barra alta still was memorable. Food is very creative with a good variety os ingreditents while service was timed perfectly so we never had to wait more than a few minutes between dishes

4.5/10I really don’t write very many bad reviews because I don’t like putting these kinds of things out there but after thinking about it all night I felt like it was necessary. The atmosphere was really nice when we walked in we felt a sense of relief that we were going to get an exceptional meal. We were seated at a lovely table and accommodated so that my husband and I could sit next to each other. We were brought some olives and bread and asked what kind of water we would like. For a restaurant that is rated on the mission list I was shocked that her server showed up with an iPad to take the order. He just didn’t have the kind of polish a Michelin restaurant would have. Our first starter was lovely and promising but our experience quickly declined after that. We were served some kind of “fresh lobster and potato salad“ that was disgusting! The artichoke was OK but nothing special all it was was an artichoke heart thinly sliced and nicely presented with pesto. We had a salmon belly dish that was lovely but the soy sauce was too strong and then my husband ordered some kind of small hamburger that had fried I don’t even remember inside of it it was disgusting! My husband felt so bad for him that he said that he liked it and he ate his but, I could not eat mine. We couldn’t leave quickly enough. At almost 9 o’clock at night in Madrid while we were there there were only Three other tables in the entire time we were there. I realized for Madrid this may be a little early but every other restaurant we walked by was packed! Unfortunately this was our last night in Madrid and we were hoping to have a better experience.
