This was recommended to me by an Italian friend who lives in Milan. It was quite out of season, early March, so maybe a star less for ambience, but I would say the quality of the food is as good as any I've experienced.

We had dinner and the food was delicious. The service was friendly and helpful explaining the dishes and also making some extra wishes possible. We wanted to have a Insalata Mista and although it is not in the menue they crated a nice Salate presented well. Also the price compared to other restaurants in Siicily was great.

Staff was very disinterested. We pestered for almost everything. The main space is cafeteria-like and loud. Food was OK, but nothing more.

Hugely underwhelming and easily our worst meal on our stay in Sicily. There are literally hundreds of better restaurants close by

Understaffed with only 2 waiters. Took forever to take order, waited for food & wine. Never checked on us. Forgot our main courses so we left.

This place had terrible service To be fair they said one waiter was sick tonight but service was really poor. Food a bit fancy and quality good but again food came out cold . So overall disappointing

What went well was the food was relatively okay and the staff were relatively okay but they were very very busy and they were very very small numbers. Because of this our food was bought really bad times, the appetiser came at the same time as the 1 secondi and the other secondi didn’t come after whisky for 40 minutes after the appetiser and finishing our bottle of wine. I would not recommend at all.

Excellent service and wonderful food. I had the seared tuna with black sesame seed crust while my husband had the anchovy and fennel pasta - both excellent!

Great service. Obviously family spirit. Food is with great quality and made with original receipts. The atmosphere is not something special. We didn't hear a music during the night (it could be a plus sometimes)

Despite the grandeur of the restaurant, the quality of food was average and the service was fair. From observation, the issue might be from the non-English speaking boss who pretty much relied on an English-speaking waitress who didn't seem to have been trained enough on the selection on the wine on offer to go with the dishes on the menu, yet, the boss seemed to be 'unhappy' with her performance. The kitchen seemed rather inflexible for the change of pasta on offer (and the request wasn't untypical). It was really for the effort of the waitress that I gave a 3 star. There ARE plenty more restaurants in Palermo that will offer a more all-rounded experience.

Amazing food. Clam spaghetti was the best we had in Sicily, umami shellfish flavour permeated every bite of the pasta. Artichoke ravioli was awesome; seafood bisque power perfectly followed by earthy artichoke hit, bite after bite Cocoa pasta with boar ragu was really interesting and moreish. We came back twice and only regret was not returning for the third day in a row.

Great restaurant and service in a perfect setting! If you are walking in Palermo this place is a must! The menu offers a variety of food you won’t find in many restaurants
