We were warmly welcomed on arrival at Base Records Bistrot. It is a lovely venue with a downstairs bar area and an upstairs restaurant. We ordered the baked cod and fish tagine - both were perfectly cooked and delicious and we also enjoyed some local Puglian wine. The owner came and chatted with us which was also a nice touch. Great food, service and venue. Will definitely return when next in Bari.

We loved our visit tonight at Base Records. We enjoyed a delightful assortment of tapas that traversed an assortment of cuisines including Italian, Japanese, and Mediterranean. The ceviche with raw white fish, citrus, and jalapeño along with the beef tartare were standout dishes. The cocktails were creative and delicious, the ambiance is great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The staff and manager speak excellent English so if your Italian is “non molto buono” you will be in good hands.

Had a fantastic dining experience! The service was exceptional, the ambiance was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Loved the great variety of options on the menu. Highly recommend!

I think waitress get us wrong receipt and we pay more. Please be more patient when you use English in this restaurant.

We're sorry for the mistake but the bill was actually 35€ we applied 50% on food, maybe you were looking for the amount each person had to pay that was 17,50€, so the bill entirely was 35€ (17,50€ each person), you wanted to pay with 20€ and we kindly asked you to pay the whole bill, sorry for not being too clear about that 🙂
