The food was great, nice flavours in the curry’s although the samosas were a let down with not much flavour. Some of the accompaniments were overpriced and not a very decent serving size. The staff were not very attentive or friendly for a small restaurant, we had to ask to order, ask multiple times for a glass for the water we ordered etc. They don’t apply the discount to the rice or naan, only the other foods, which wasn’t clear on the fork app, so we asked about this and the guy was very rude about it. He applied the discount which was nice, but the aggressive delivery kinda left a sour taste on the experience.

DISCOUNT NOT DEDUCTED - I booked through The Fork, I for a 2p dinner on Wed 13/11 evening and told the waiter that we booked through The Fork knowing that we were supposed to have a 30% discount on food. At the end we got the bill paid and I forgo to ask again for the 30% discount or check if it was deducted. Later on I realised that 30% we not deducted.

Our third year in Madrid and third visit to Basmati and it never disappoints. We hopefully will return in summer 2025.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was quite disappointed with my experience. Upon arrival, I was promptly seated, but soon after, my seat was reassigned to accommodate other guests. This lack of respect for my boundaries was off-putting, but I decided to stay as I was very hungry. I ordered the vegetable samosa and lamb biryani. Unfortunately, my server left before I could complete my order, leaving me unable to request a bottle of water or any drink. The vegetable samosa was clearly bought from elsewhere and fried on-site, resulting in a subpar taste—2.0/10. The lamb biryani was equally disappointing, with inconsistently cooked meat that was sometimes medium and other times undercooked and smelly. I ended up leaving some of the food uneaten and paid my bill responsibly before exiting the restaurant. Overall, the service, food, and ambiance did not meet my expectations. In the end I don’t know how this restaurant had this much rating.

The food was good but the rice was not included in the discount and the rice is €7-€8 so this made the meal quite expensive.

Second time here - first was amazing and second didn’t disappoint at all. Staff super helpful, they cook what you want not what they want - if it’s not on the menu, just ask. When I’m Madrid and if you like a good curry, definitely go here. No alcohol licence at present but you can take your own if you wish. See you next summer.

Small quiet restaurant the night we were there. We had a reservation and were greeted warmly by Jabar. He was very helpful in menu suggestions our food was well prepared and tasty. We would come back and recommend to others for Indian food.
