booked through fork with discount code 30 0/0 off but wasn't put through. but the did give us the discount and a free glass off port. not their fault but not ours either. so check when you go in as they said it keeps happening. the food was lovely and the service excellent we will definitely go back.

Did not enjoy my time at this restaurant. We were sat right next to the large window front, where everyone from the outside could look onto our plates, because there is no privacy screen or curtains that can be closed. The service was mediocre at best. The first waitress was coughing into her hands and then touched clean plates and cutlery without washing her hands in between. The table was sticky. The food was mid. Would not go back. I’d invest in better staff training

We had two excellent meals at Bastardo whilst on our Lisbon city break. For our first we had an excellent selection of sushi; I’ve been fortunate enough to eat at some fantastic restaurants all over the world and this rated right up there. Not a huge selection but what was on offer was excellent. For our second meal we all had fish or shellfish. The octopus rice, beautifully tender octopus in a sumptuous white wine risotto, was excellent. The tuna mataki was excellent and the king prawn risotto was their equal. All in all we would thoroughly recommend Bastardos. Excellent service, great food and a nice modern atmosphere. Make sure to book through The Fork and get a 50% discount too!

The food was well thought but not greatly executed. I consider overcooking prawn for example to be an executable flow for a restaurante at this price range. Nevertheless the location and waiters are great. The place is not very clean.

Some of the best shrimp tacos we have had. The oysters were fantastic and the cod dumplings amazing. Unfortunately, the service-staff lacks experience and must be trained and advised how to behave as a waiter on a restaurant. Can not be very difficult to see if glasses are empty or ask if everything is ok?

Food really good, waiters not so good, all friendly but some not understanding English and having to come twice to get the order correctly. Asking for the bill took forever at least 25min, again asking a waiter who says yes o come with your bill and never returned. We asked 3x !!! And the restaurant was not even busy !

Service a bit inconsistent. Attended to larger parties more often. I’m guessing the sea bass wasn’t the Chilean sea bass as the portion was very thin filet where I am used to a large firm cut. I miss the whole fish dorado over the potato cake. This was just ok. I’ve had much better there.

A restaurant in the heart of Lisbon - and you can tell, since the employees talk to you in English because they assume you are a tourist; understandable, but it makes the experience not that nice. The food is good, although not surprisingly good, but extremely overpriced for its quality. The only dish that deserves to be highlighted is the shrimp taco - an interesting mix of flavours and textures.

Honestly, I was skeptical it'd be a tourist trap because ground zero location but we were pleasantly surprised, especially with the sushi which is hard to find in Lisbon. Diverse cuisine, creative and beautifully presented. The window seat is a people watching show. I had a good negroni and the pinot noir.

The service needs to be improved. We have been asked about what we wanted to eat after more than 30 minutes we were seated. They forgot to bring one of the main course we ordered. Not sure if because lack of personnel or poor professionalism
