4.5/10To start, they do not allow you to order tap water. When we asked the waiter, he was quite rude about it. We ordered the seafood stew and it was gross. It was literally a pot of cilantro and mediocre stew. I would definitely not recommend coming to this establishment. I will say the salmon and coconut rice was decent. It was overpriced and very touristy.

10/10This was our first dinner in Portugal and it did not disappoint! My white sangria was refreshing and tasty. The sautéed shrimp appetizer was bursting in flavor and the broth perfect with the bread we ordered. The turbot entree with pea puree was delicious.. My husband enjoyed his octopus dish as well.

9.5/10We had the octopus and the seabass. I requested sweet potatoes puree instead of the regular mashed and they made the change with no additional cost. First the seabass wasn’t cooked, they changed it and gave me a new plate. The food was delicious! I definitely recommend this restaurant!

6.5/10The service was OK, until it came time to pay. The waiter had misunderstood a passing comment, and had added an unordered item to the bill. In addition, the staff didn't know how to apply the €25 The Fork discount. Between the two issues, it took 4 attempts and about 15 extra minutes before the bill was correct. However, the staff was constantly friendly.

5.5/10I had high expectations, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. The shrimp in the stew was not deveined, and the pasta was overcooked, resulting in an unappetizing dish. To make matters worse, the food was overpriced, which is somewhat expected in a tourist-heavy area. Overall, the experience was unsatisfactory.

10/10A fantastic restaurant in an otherwise touristy area of Lisbon. The appetizers were thoughtful and tasty, and our entrees were cooked to perfection. The steak for the Tournedo was high quality, and we appreciated the medium-rare temperature. Also, one of the best tuna tataki in memory in our family. Don't let the name fool you--this is a seriously good restaurant in Lisboa.

10/10A hip and bustling, very popular venue, great atmosphere and very friendly helpful staff. Had delicious Alentejo red wine and the seafood pasta stew was to die for, enough for two! Book as it's popular.A bit pricey without the wonderful Fork discount! Thank you, TheFork!

9.5/10We often eat at bastardo and it is always very tasty food of high quality. The service is the only downside in my opinion. When it’s not full you get great service but many of the waiters seem not to be well trained for a full house / stress, and you feel it as a guest - other than that super good!

10/10I had a wonderful meal and the service was great. To start I had the king prawns / shrimp which were delicious. They were in a sauce that was wonderfully infused with garlic, ginger and coriander. For my main course I had the sea bass fillets with creamy mashed potato. The fish was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. To finish I had the basque cheesecake which was creamy and light and served with ice cream which was a great contrast. Through the service was really good as was the atmosphere in Bastardo.

9/10The food here was really really good, excellent quality, fresh ingredients - you can view the kitchen from your table. I had the Sashimi and oysters to start, and the Pork Cheek and smoked mash for main, and both courses were amazing, the desserts were lovely too, I had the Creme brûlée. Everything was perfect apart from the service, just a little slow, and didn’t know anything when we asked questions about the food, but there were a few gems in the team. Overall, I would highly recommend, and I would 100% return.

8/10Entering you are greeted by the host/hostess and art by Bordalo II. They had our reservation and promptly sat us. Upon ordering everything from drinks to food arrived quickly. The food had good flavor. We enjoyed the Fish burger with fries, a side salad, and the Basque cheesecake. They had our Fork discount already on our receipt which made things easy. To end the meal they offered us a glass of port on the house. Lovely experience.
