I was so pleased to include a stop on my post-holiday adventures. The fresh fish bites were absolutely incredible—light, flavorful, and the perfect taste of the sea. But the real star was the caneloni, a festive treat that was rich and comforting, yet so refined. It was the perfect way to extend the holiday spirit. If you’re in Barcelona, definitely make this spot a part of your journey!

The food was creative, generous for tapas, and well prepared. Each item was better than the next. We particularly enjoyed the octopus and the pork specialty. The service started off a bit slow and then picked up for the rest of the meal. For a 1 star Michelin restaurant the prices were reasonable. The location is very convenient if you’re staying in the Eixample district. I would definitely love to return.

hit and miss service: one server was exceptional and kind, guiding us through the menu and suggesting an off menu item. another server (with very long hair) was incredibly rude she rolled her eyes at us when we n3eded another minute to order, walked away while we were mid-sentence, and was condescending every time she came to the table. she put in a lot of effort to make us feel unwelcome.

Overpriced Michelin restaurant. Food portion is small. Food quality is nothing special, razor clams are in baby size. Environment is not Michelin. Service is an ordinary 1 star. I went to a random tapa restaurant the night before, and is way better

Beautiful Ambiance but Disappointing Cuisine Our visit to Batea Barcelona was a mixed experience. The restaurant’s beautiful ambiance and modern design set the stage for what we hoped would be a memorable meal. However, the food fell short of our expectations. The flavors were underwhelming and did not reflect the creativity we anticipated from a Michelin-recommended restaurant. On a positive note, the service was impeccable and the staff were attentive.

I hate to give a negative review knowing that the staff depend upon the guests for their livelihood, but the kitchen was not supporting the wait personnel. The service staff were fine; however, the food was a real disappointment. The "special" shellfish appetizer was nothing special yet expensive with very small "tastes". The mains disappointed too. The duck breast and the sea bass were salty and served with cold vegetables with little or no seasoning other than the salt. The ceviche was okay. We decided to skip the sweets and coffee. Perhaps it was a bit telling that all the customers were tourists. There are many better resturants in Barcelona. I recomment passing this one by.

Batea has a short menu which successfully brings together different tastes. Service was prompt and friendly. This is a restaurant where I believe everyone feels welcome and each guest feels they are somewhere truly special.

Service was 10/10! Hats off for all the staff from the kitchen to the floor. The menu is okay,nice and short,nothing really extra. It’s a fair palette of tastes. Food is presented well,portions are fair. Taste is nice, nothing extreme. The ambience was the weak part,okay decor,nice cutlery. Might have been because of the timing but surpise-surprise drunk brits are included. That is not the fault of Batea. If you want a nice meal,have some money and don’t mind not having the most authentic experience of your life, I recommend to pay a visit.

Simply one of our favourite restaurants. With small plates, most of which are shareable, rooted in Galician cuisine the cook polishes this popular cuisine into a modern, creative elaboration that never fails to impress. The restaurant is not large, which I like, but feels spacious and has a pleasant vibe. Simply but beautifully decorated with pink-and-purple striped wallpaper, mirrors, and hanging lamps. The service is warm, welcoming, and professional. We are always looking forward to a meal in this gem of a restaurant.

Last night we had our most memorable dinner of all meals while here in Barcelona for four nights. Each menu item is unique with a delicious blend of flavours for sharing. The service, wine and small restaurant added to the overall experience. Not to be missed if you want to avoid the way too many tourist traps in Barcelona.

The ambiance was like nothing we expected of a Michelin start restaurant. While it was cute, it was very bright and fast paced. It felt like a glorified cafe. The service was horrible. Multiple times the waitress forgot to check in on us, forgot to bring us drinks, and even forgot to take our order. The food was simply ok. Nothing spectacular and certainly not Michelin star quality. We have dined at a number of michelan restaurants and were left puzzled at how this establishment was honored with one. I think a re-evaluation is in order. Needless to say, we won’t be back and won’t be recommending it.

This restaurant gave me and my boyfriend food poisoning for 2 days. We ordered lots of shellfish and seafood however clearly, it was not stored correctly or it was left out. Disappointing as it was our first dinner in Barcelona and ruined our stay for 2 days.
