5.5/10I hate to give a negative review knowing that the staff depend upon the guests for their livelihood, but the kitchen was not supporting the wait personnel. The service staff were fine; however, the food was a real disappointment. The "special" shellfish appetizer was nothing special yet expensive with very small "tastes". The mains disappointed too. The duck breast and the sea bass were salty and served with cold vegetables with little or no seasoning other than the salt. The ceviche was okay. We decided to skip the sweets and coffee. Perhaps it was a bit telling that all the customers were tourists. There are many better resturants in Barcelona. I recomment passing this one by.

9/10Batea has a short menu which successfully brings together different tastes. Service was prompt and friendly. This is a restaurant where I believe everyone feels welcome and each guest feels they are somewhere truly special.

10/10First: the restaurant has such a lovely vibrant vibe! The staff is super helpful, polite and with a big smile on their faces. Drinks are great and the food is also amazing - super recommend it, you won’t regret

10/10Batea is absolutely worth a visit. Every dish was meticulously prepared and delivered in flavour. The mussel croquetta and pea salad were particular highlights.

10/10In my view, one of the best restaurants in Barcelona, with well-executed creative dishes for a reasonable price. We return regularly to this friendly and lovely restaurant. A must when in town.

9/10Service was 10/10! Hats off for all the staff from the kitchen to the floor. The menu is okay,nice and short,nothing really extra. It’s a fair palette of tastes. Food is presented well,portions are fair. Taste is nice, nothing extreme. The ambience was the weak part,okay decor,nice cutlery. Might have been because of the timing but surpise-surprise drunk brits are included. That is not the fault of Batea. If you want a nice meal,have some money and don’t mind not having the most authentic experience of your life, I recommend to pay a visit.

10/10Our best meal after two weeks across Spain including 3 other Michelin starred restaurants. The albarino was excellent and the seafood dishes were magnificent. Great friendly service. Do not miss.

10/10Simply one of our favourite restaurants. With small plates, most of which are shareable, rooted in Galician cuisine the cook polishes this popular cuisine into a modern, creative elaboration that never fails to impress. The restaurant is not large, which I like, but feels spacious and has a pleasant vibe. Simply but beautifully decorated with pink-and-purple striped wallpaper, mirrors, and hanging lamps. The service is warm, welcoming, and professional. We are always looking forward to a meal in this gem of a restaurant.

10/10Last night we had our most memorable dinner of all meals while here in Barcelona for four nights. Each menu item is unique with a delicious blend of flavours for sharing. The service, wine and small restaurant added to the overall experience. Not to be missed if you want to avoid the way too many tourist traps in Barcelona.

3/10The ambiance was like nothing we expected of a Michelin start restaurant. While it was cute, it was very bright and fast paced. It felt like a glorified cafe. The service was horrible. Multiple times the waitress forgot to check in on us, forgot to bring us drinks, and even forgot to take our order. The food was simply ok. Nothing spectacular and certainly not Michelin star quality. We have dined at a number of michelan restaurants and were left puzzled at how this establishment was honored with one. I think a re-evaluation is in order. Needless to say, we won’t be back and won’t be recommending it.

9.5/10Our experience was excellent. The menu of Catalan inspired seafood creations is refined and well executed without being intimidating. Particularly for the price point, this is an easy recommendation to make.

4.5/10This restaurant gave me and my boyfriend food poisoning for 2 days. We ordered lots of shellfish and seafood however clearly, it was not stored correctly or it was left out. Disappointing as it was our first dinner in Barcelona and ruined our stay for 2 days.

9/10The restaurant is not very big and right in the busy area if Barcelona. The restaurant focuses on seafood. The taste of most things is very good but rhe portion is extremely small even fir shared dishes. They are small compared to most restaurants we have been to in Spain. The shrimp dish in gazpacho is creative a nice dish. The squid has a nice flavor but they are not as fresh.

10/10Had a great experience. Service was a bit slow, but it was also very crowded so it was very understandable. Our waitress brought us something special when we asked for local options for sweet wine, and that was very appreciated.
