Welcoming place and staff. The food is excellent. We had the octopus and tuna and drank two glasses of Vinho Verde. Everything was delicious and prepared with care and attention by the chef. Highly recommended.

This ws our second visit to Beco a Serio, and we couldn't resist having the tuna again. It was outstanding. As was the lime tart. Friendly, attentive service, great food, comfortsble ambience - the three things you need in a restaurant but often don't get!

Lovely outdoor seating area, Nice ambience. Food was very good--this was our first night n Portugal so it's difficult remember precise details. To pay homage to an old friend who ate cod dishes every evening on his visit here in 2006, I did the same in 2024. Most of the cod dishes were very good, a few excellent. However, I find the overall quality of food and service (in Lisbon and Porto) to not be as good (5 star) this trip. In the Douro Valley, excellent.

Very good local Portuguese restaurant in Lisbon, located in the Alfama district. Limited menu and being first-time Lisbon visitors from overseas we were slightly challenged by the menu but well assisted by the Maitre D. Many thanks. By the way, check out the flour-less chocolate cake with ice-cream. Not sure if it is typical for Portugal - or Lisbon in particular - but either way, a banger of a dish!!

Very nice Portuguese restaurant, they really care about quality of the food they serve! The owner served us, with a nice sense of humor. They've also prolonged a kitchen hours a little to accommodate guests who came later. Terrace is quite and cozy. Recommended!

Highly recommended this restaurant. It is a hidden germ in local area which not many people would know or going. But their food are scrumptious and price is very reasonable low before the discount offer. Seems is family own and only one chef and server. The server is not English speak but he tried very best to explain and polite. The sangria so tasty, the cod, octopus even chocolate cake are delicious !!

Two English ladies came early and left before dinner as the manager was rude to one of them. We were early too, they wont open before 7pm but didn’t even attempt to get inside a few minutes early after what we witnessed Octopus was slimy. Not worth the hike! Server was nice.

Okay food in a random location. Dirty furniture. Lazy service. You feel like a tourist and don't want to. Nice chef who makes good octopus. Waiter wouldn’t let me order ice cream unless I bought the chocolate pudding. Come on? Disappointing.

Super nice gentleman in charge, spoke at least English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Had wonderful pulpo, chorizo, pork and shrimp, and two chocolate cakes for dessert. Highly recommend pulpo and the chocolate cake. The rest was incredible too, but the cake was spectacular and the octopus was mouth watering.

It was a very cozy and welcoming restaurant. The food was excellent and the waiter was very attentive and friendly to us. We loved both the octopus and the codfish we got. The chocolate cake was also delicious. The 30% discount from The Fork made it a wonderful find.
