The ambience is quite calm and relaxed. We were a group of 6. The food, the " Pasteis massa tenra" or the bacalao with chick peas were very good. The beer was fantastic. The desserts were a very good surprise - "pastel de feijão " and the sweet "pastel de massa tenra". To come back !

I am not sure what was happening with our waiter, but he decided to ´punk´ me when he brought our food order. Maybe it is some new restaurant ritual (think Benihana)...but as obviously the oldest person in our luncheon group I was a bit shocked at the display. I am 70 years old and I do not appreciate any person, particularly a young man, having some kind of weird joke at my expense. I recommended to my friends that we eat at your restaurant because the food is very good. I realize it must be difficult to find wait staff...I am from another era I am afraid.

we thought the waitress could be more accomodating, and instead of telling the clients to go to instagram see what they were going to eat she could actually explain. All the rest was reasonable.

Did have items we ordered, waitress was unhelpful and not trained in service to customers.

Exceptional cuisine marred by disappointing service. The food was truly outstanding, with masterful flavours and beautiful presentation. However, the service was woefully inadequate. When I asked the waiter for couvert recommendations, he merely stared at me with a confused expression, offering no assistance whatsoever. Such a shame that brilliant culinary skills are undermined by such poor customer care. Worth visiting for the food alone, but be prepared for frustrating service.

We enjoyed our recent dinner at this restaurant that features traditional Portuguese dishes. The menu is varied with many fish options and an excellent wine selection.

The food was very good. I had delicious grilled seabass with potatoes and salad. All very fresh and tasty. For a very fair price.

Staff was very professional and pleasant. One server even made us a sangria that was not on the menu. Food was good, with a twist on the traditional dishes, like curry powder on peixinhos da horta.

The staff were very slow eventhough the restaurant was not busy. The staff was slow to bring the check and said the credit card machine was broken. Luckily I had cash but it would have been nice to know when we arrived because we would have gone some place else. The food was not that great for the price or service.

Day 2 of our Lisbon adventure led us to Belém 2 a 8, a restaurant we had eagerly booked via Fork.com prior to our trip. Despite a slight delay in seating upon our arrival, our patience was soon rewarded with a culinary experience that surpassed our expectations. Opting for Dos Arroz de Peix and Dos Ameijoas Bulh, we savored each mouthful of these delectable dishes. The shrimp and fish rice, in particular, stood out as a highlight of our trip, boasting flavors that delighted our palates like none other. Equally impressive were the clams, which showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality and taste. While the wait may have tested our patience, the exquisite flavors and complexity of the dishes more than compensated for any inconvenience. Belém 2 a 8 proved to be a culinary gem in the Belém area, offering a dining experience that is not to be missed. In conclusion, despite a minor delay, our visit to Belém 2 a 8 left a lasting impression, solidifying its place as a must-visit restaurant for anyone exploring the Belém area of Lisbon.

This little restaurant is walking distance 12-15 min) from Jerónimos Monastery and has many good choices for lunch, at reasonable prices. My husband and I shared the mixed vegetable salad, the codfish cakes with tomato rice and the prawn and pineapple curry. All very tasty. We also had the white wine from Douro. All delicious and well presented. The only negative was that the service was very slow, both to get our meals and to pay the bill. As long as you’re not in a hurry I’d recommend this place.

Good choice of food and extensive choice in wine. Service was excellent. We really enjoyed the codfish and burger. The tomato salad starter we shared with the codfish starter and it enhanced both dishes.

I loved the atmosphere and that it was not crowded although pasteis the belem is just beside this restaurant. The food was excellent and the rice with shrimp surprisingly good loved the coriander especially in this stew. We tried Alheira for the first time and it was great! Due to the server's recommendation 2 dishes were not enough for 4 people and we ordered spicy sausage sautéed with pineapple which were fresh! We loved it very much! Also the staff was very nice and friendly.

This is a cute little restaurant. The service was excellent. It’s got a good range of local dishes, focussing on codfish. It’s definitely designed for tourists because of its location near the attractions of Belém, but it’s not a tourist trap. The food was well prepared and tasty.

It’s is a nice place. Not the greatest but I have had a lot worse. We were in northern Spain previously and the prices are a bit higher in Portugal. We had the mushrooms, a veal pie, bread, the rice and prawns dish, port, and beer. All very good and the service was excellent. Sat outside but should have been inside. The street is busy and noisy.

We booked a table for 8 persons in advance of our trip to Belem. We were seated upstairs - a lovely dining space, which we had to ourselves. The food and wine were both of a very high standard. Our server, Aman, was exceptional. She looked after the party of 8 with courtesy, ease and efficiency. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

We made a reservation up front using the Fork app. When we arrived we explained this and the staff represented by a rude senior bossy guy told us to go next door to a burger joint (!). A younger guy that actually understood a few words of English let us have a table and then disappeared. A very inexperienced waiter showed up. We ordered food and I wanted a glass of port wine with the cheese starter. After a while the waiter came back with a half full bottle of port an said “port wine finish”. I said well ok, what you have there is a bottle of port, can I have a glass of that one? “No port wine finish” was the answer. I gave up and ordered a beer instead. After that I ordered a glass of red wine, which was served without a chance to taste it first. The food was good, my wife and I agreed. The service was on “Fawlty Towers” level, for people being old enough to understand that reference.

Massa tenra served as a brazilian pastel. Made for tourists who do not know what it is. Expensive for whats its offered.

The food is delicious, but the service wasn't very good. One of the waiters was always yelling at the other waiters. The person waiting on us was sloppy.

Food was excellent! I had the grilled fish. It was served with a side salad and the ever-present potatoes. Others in my party had the steak. It was served medium rare on the rare side, but they didn’t mind. I saw other dishes being served and everything looked great. Would recommend!
