The owner of our VRBO recommended this lively neighborhood restaurant we could walk to! Our party of 6 Americans arrived early for 7 pm reservation ( early for Lisbon dinner) but our table was ready, laden with delicious display of starters. It was obvious the staff were seasoned and enjoyed working together. COD with chickpeas was best we have had in Pt. And the tomato soup with grouper was seasoned to perfection. We were honored by a visit from Belmiro himself which was the icing on the cake! Five stars!

the steak was perfect 👌 but cod fish was oversalted (we couldn't finish it), only locals in this restaurant, hospitality wide not oriented for tourists, didn't feel wellcome 😞

Honest delicious homecooked food. The service was attentive and fast. Deserts unimpressive. The 2euros for a small bottle of tap water were a rip off.

The greeting upon arriving was warm, everything recommended was full of flavors starting with eggs & potatoes, followed by mushrooms w/ garlic finished with hint of balsamic. The steak prepared to perfection , however was the pairing of the Red wine. It was a local spot with vibrant vibes.

It was not a good experience at that restaurant. We got told one thing it was another. It was un edible and we’ve been traveling around the world. They were mopping the floor around our feet with cleaning products while we were trying to eat, they did not speak any other language, other than English, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone not Portuguese at all by any means in the review said it was a nine point something and it’s not true, don’t believe all reviews how great they are. I could be their families riding it because it was a family business and it was terrible.

Belmiro is a more upscale Portuguese restaurant that many locals go to for a wonderful meal. There’s even a “hunting section “ where you can have partridge rice and other favorites, in addition to the more traditional offerings. They have indoor and outdoor dining (across the street from a castle and up the block from the Italian Embassy.)

Belmiro was highly recommended by a friend of our family, and we cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our delicious dishes. Belmiro was at the front of the house making sure everything worked to every customer’s satisfaction being assisted by a very young lady. The restaurant was full and it was clear he was understaffed and deserves full marks for everything! Highly recommended!

Best neighborhood restaurant in Lisbon. True Portuguese regional cuisine cooked to perfection, with the most accommodating staff. This is our 4th visit back to Belmiro. We have never been the least disappointed. (Hint: if you’re unfamiliar with Portugal’s wines, allow your waiter to make a suggestion and taste..)

I was in Belmiro two times, one in August and one in September. Both have been excellent. The chef is super friendly and takes the tame to greet and explain the dishes to the customers.

Food was great, wine and meat were amazing. The stuff could have been more welcoming, but they were very efficient so not a big deal. I think it's a great spot for authentic Portuguese food, great atmosphere too. Overall a great culinary experience with friends. Thank you!

Every bite we had was delicious and bursting with flavor. We had all the starters and soup for sharing. Quaint neighborhood and authentic ingredients. Highly recommended.
