9/10I booked a table prior to arriving in Rome we arrived early and said we would take a table outside rather than wait for one inside, we were served well for drinks and food order but once food arrived I was not offered Parmesan or pepper etc someone on the next table offered us his Parmesan as was ignored and also not asked if all was ok and never had any interaction until we asked for the bill maybe need to be a bit more attentive to guests outside even in March 😊

2/10Unfortunately, we made a booking through The Fork and when we arrived at Benso, they had no tables available and asked us to wait outside. If you have booked a restaurant and you arrive on time, your table should be waiting for you. One other point, the photos on their Tripadvisor page are very misleading , they show many photos of their events/function room. The actual restaurant is very small and more cafe like than a restaurant. I cannot comment on the food, as we did not eat here. The whole experience was very poor.

6.5/10The hostess in the entrance was totally impolite We had a reservation at 20:00 and she told us we have to wait 15 min as all tables were full After 15 min still waiting outside in the cold we complained and she replied that the restaurant policy is like this and we could leave if we don’t like

9.5/10Thank you for a great evening. We found shelter from the cold and rainy November evening. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great. We were welcomed and comfortable throughout our lady evening of our honeymoon dream come true Mediterranean trip.

attempted to seat us in lower level which was very warm and uncomfortable and we requested outside and was granted which was very comfortable!! food delivered was very good but had trouble with lots of bones in sea bass!

10/10We sat in the basement as all other tables were full but found it very charming and nice and cool! The food was incredible and service was excellent despite it being so busy. Everything was served fresh and piping hot and drinks were served quickly. We wish we had discovered Benso earlier in our trip so we could have returned but alas, found it on our final night.

6/10This is a tourist restaurant which however has good Italian food, according to the fettuccine alla bolognese and the gnocchi ai 4 formaggi that we - Italian guests - experienced, together with strawberry and ice cream at the end of the dinner.

We came to dinner to celebrate with a large group. The restaurant and the food was good but the service was ok. Not supper attentive and in the summer time the downstairs was very very hot. The food was fresh.

Benso was recommended by our airbnb host! So I made dinner reservations for my birthday (2 June) with the excitement and possibility of having one of our best meals in Rome. Unfortunately, it was not as good as we hoped. 😕 The Fiumi di pecorino pioggia di formaggio, came out extremely dry, and our other spaghetti and meatballs dish had no flavor! But the ravioli, the rosso vino was good and the pistachio tiramisu was delicious. Last, we did feel a little, rushed like they were trying to turn the tables over quickly, although this was a Sunday night.
