9.5/10Thank you for a great evening. We found shelter from the cold and rainy November evening. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great. We were welcomed and comfortable throughout our lady evening of our honeymoon dream come true Mediterranean trip.

7.5/10attempted to seat us in lower level which was very warm and uncomfortable and we requested outside and was granted which was very comfortable!! food delivered was very good but had trouble with lots of bones in sea bass!

10/10We sat in the basement as all other tables were full but found it very charming and nice and cool! The food was incredible and service was excellent despite it being so busy. Everything was served fresh and piping hot and drinks were served quickly. We wish we had discovered Benso earlier in our trip so we could have returned but alas, found it on our final night.

6/10This is a tourist restaurant which however has good Italian food, according to the fettuccine alla bolognese and the gnocchi ai 4 formaggi that we - Italian guests - experienced, together with strawberry and ice cream at the end of the dinner.

7.5/10We came to dinner to celebrate with a large group. The restaurant and the food was good but the service was ok. Not supper attentive and in the summer time the downstairs was very very hot. The food was fresh.

4.5/10Benso was recommended by our airbnb host! So I made dinner reservations for my birthday (2 June) with the excitement and possibility of having one of our best meals in Rome. Unfortunately, it was not as good as we hoped. 😕 The Fiumi di pecorino pioggia di formaggio, came out extremely dry, and our other spaghetti and meatballs dish had no flavor! But the ravioli, the rosso vino was good and the pistachio tiramisu was delicious. Last, we did feel a little, rushed like they were trying to turn the tables over quickly, although this was a Sunday night.

3/10We booked 2 months prior to booking and still placed in basement and not in main restaurant. Placed near wine bottles with children couldn’t relax. Carbonara sauce so thick and gloopy

10/10We sat downstairs which had a lovely ‘wine cellar’ ambience. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were very welcoming. Definitely will return on our next visit to Rome.

7.5/10Great place for pasta and pizza if you are in the area. We went for lunch but saw the place at night time and believe it's a lot worth it to go for dinner as they have a very nice terrace (if possible ask to be seated outside when booking). Service was great but a bit understaffed.

2/10The experience was terrible. The waiting staff was unfriendly and stared a lot. It was clear they did not want to be there and is creative a negative atmosphere. In addition to this, we are American and we were not given the same level of service as Italian diners. I ordered a Margherita pizza and my boyfriend ordered lasagna, we were given an American cheese pizza and a huge shapeless slice of lasagna on white plates. We noticed other diners (Italians) received beautifully plated food on elegant black plates. This was our first experience we could tell we were treated differently based on nationality. My boyfriend and I were dressed nice and felt the photos on the app looked amazing, we were mistaken. This was easily the worst meal we had during our two week travel across Italy
