The staff was welcoming, and the food was delicious. We had opportunity for great conversation.

Food is very poor, frozen supermarket pizza style etc, atmosphere was poor, very hot, bright lights no real feeling of a restaurant.

The Bavarian Beer food plate was a and a welcome break from the similarities of the food in other restaurants. And the craft beer was fabulous. inexpensive, great food and friendly service.

Fantastico! The staff was so kind and accomidating despite being very busy. They met and exceeded every expectation. Beers were solid. The red (rosso) was a standout and the food was superb. Cortona is a wonderful little community with a rich history. Birrificcio Cortonese is a must for travelers who enjoy traditional fare and une birra.

A really good spot for good, relatively unfussy food and drink at competitive prices. The bilingual staff are attentive and happy to help you make the right choice. The only niggle is the outside space is on one of the main streets into the town, the traffic is very limited but could annoy some

The ambience was quaint and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. The shin bone is a must try!

Went here as a recommendation by a friend. Our server Michelle (Micky - pronounced Mee-key) was so very kind and she knew English so well, she even managed some kind sarcasm. “Oh I see it was no good!?” (As she looked at our empty plates). The food was solid and the prices good for Tuscany, especially Cortona. Try the Ice Cream with Beer sauce for dessert! They brew their own beer, which we didn’t try but might be interesting to those who aren’t wine drinkers.

We dined outside on a quiet side street with a lovely view of the valley through an arch at the end of the street Our server was helpful in guiding us to Tuscan specialties including soup with white beans and parpadelle with wild boar ragu. This is a simple rustic restaurant and we felt welcomed and appreciated.

Been lots of times on my own, with my wife, with family and taken friends there too. Everyone commented on how friendly massimo and michaela are. Lovely people. And the beer is the best in cortona. Brewed near Sienna.

It was a fantastic experience in all regards! Michele and her partner, the chef, made every effort to make our meal special. When we first walked in, we were not sure if we were in the right place and although we had reservations, Michele told us to feel free to change our minds if we chose to do so...we are so glad we did not! Nothing pretentious, just a great experience.
