Fantastic food and great service. We felt spoiled from the second, we arrived. We had been in the old town for dinner some nights in a row, which was also nice, but this was on a whole different level. Refreshingly innovative dishes and sweet service.

Not in a million years would we have stopped to go in here giving the little outside shop “look” but man we would have missed out on the best “Michelin star worthy” food we had in a long time. Starting with a warm welcome of the staff (she’s actually the wife of the chef) and great support to choose our menus. We went for the surprise set menu and it surprised us all 7 courses long. The food is absolutely sensational, with, I think the focus on really tasting the ingredients rather masking it with too many spices. We also asked if they could do a wine paring for us as we don’t know that much of Italian local wines and she just made the right choices. I always get suspicious of the ups and downs of the usual tripadvisor reviews but this is absolutely 10/10 on The Fork

Service was excellent! Good wine recommendations. Dietary restrictions were all accounted and solved. The venue was also easy to find, clean and had good atmosphere. Our group enjoyed the 7 course menu and the food was really good but for more conservative people it might be too much as there is flavor combinations that you wont usually see. All in all the food is creative and tasty, plating is beautiful and the service perfect. Thanks for having us!

Marco and Emma run an absolutely fantastic restaurant here at Bistrò 96. From top to bottom, the place is welcoming and chic. The dishes are both unexpected in their flavor combinations and wholly delicious. We enjoyed their offerings twice in the one week we spent in Bordighera, as we couldn’t fathom any reason to go elsewhere. Our favorites of the dishes we enjoyed were the artichoke pureé with shallot sauce & coffee powder, along with the tagliatelle with duck ragout. Truly amazing food at a very reasonable price. The wine selection is also quite remarkable. We had a very nice local rosato on our first night, and a pinot nero on our second. Both warranted an additional bottle to bring home to the States. Gourmet cuisine and an inviting atmosphere. No critiques here!

Fantastic food and service. Emma was a delight to have and selected excellent wine. All the dishes were impeccably prepared. We will go out of our way to stop at Bistro 96 next time we're near Bordighera!

Expensive for the quality of food received. Around €20 for every course which is fine if the food is good but unfortunately every course was disappointing . The presentation however was great and the amuse bouche a nice touch.

A delight! We had the tasting menu at lunchtime. The choices were few, but comprehensive (something for everyone). The selection of wines, by the glass, was very good, The server chose well when we mentioned our preferences. By the way, the house Prosecco was very good. Service was impeccable, not rushed, well timed.

This is a small family running restaurant with great food and very friendly staff who give you all information that you need, specially if you don’t speak Italian. They welcome you with a friendly smile as soon as you enter the restaurant. Great experience!

This is a delightful bistró husband and wife team. The food aims high and sometimes misses but it’s a pleasure to see the attempts. Most dishes could be a bit more aggressively seasoned and a beautiful ravioli had a somewhat bitter mushroom broth. But a creative amuse bouche, homemade bread course, original dishes, and absolutely charming service mean that this is a place to keep an eye on.

The praise by others of this little family-run restaurant is well justified. The staff are as sweet and helpful as can be, and the food is excellent --tasty, fresh, well-presented. Everything is homemade, including the multiple kinds of bread. Highly recommended.

Delightful staff and a really interesting menu. We were tired after a long drive and both ourselves and our little dog were made to feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal which was not the normal fare, it was two notches higher at least. Do yourselves a favour and go there.

An outstanding restaurant. Excellent and imaginative cooking supported by charming and efficient service. The short menu offers the diner plenty of choice but allows the chef to focus on creating beautiful plates. Many little additional dishes provided free. Very fairly priced, particularly considering the quality. Highly recommended. The whole team deserves great success.

Excellent food by the very talented young chef, lovely friendly service and overall a fabulous lunch. I would’ve liked a little lime juice on my fish entree to give it some zing but overall everything was superb.
