Food was incredible. Definitely the best place we ate at Portugal, very simple and so flavorful and well made. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When we arrived at 19:30 we were the only ones there, people seem to eat late here. We were referred here by an Uber driver and it didn’t disappoint. Emma our server was awesome and made sure we didn’t need anything, she was friendly and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the Samosas appetizer and asked for something to dip them in and they made us a sauce. My wife ordered the salmon I ordered the steak and both were prepared perfectly. We finished our meal with an almond tart and lime ice cream. I would highly recommend this establishment for a great meal

The restaurant was very busy which we took as a good sign but sadly there was a very long wait for everything. We only got one of the two starters ordered and when our main courses came they were cold! I've given 4* for the food because the flavours were good and my husband's duck was very tender and perfectly cooked. We were disappointed after reading the good reviews!

This is a happy bistro and we were happy diners! Miro was a great server...helpful recommendations, attentive and funny. But of course we are there for good food and the chef did not disappoint. Many of us had the delicious lamb chops....nice touch to add a little honey for sweetness with the rosemary as well. Others had the entrecote and one said, "this is the best steak I have ever had" because it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We truly enjoyed our experience and will remember to return if ever in Coimbra again.

Delicious traditional Portuguese food in a relaxed ambience. Fabulous service from Miro - he was outstanding and a treasure! Helpful, funny, attentive and epitomised great service.

This was my second time at this restaurant. This time we got salmon and lamb chops. Both were overcooked even asking specifically for both to be done medium. The portions were good but the salmon was very dry. Perhaps it was an off night so we will return to try again.

We visited Bistro Algeria three times when we were visiting Coimbra for three months in January. Now that we live here we were eager to visit again and we were not disappointed. The helpful and efficient staff, the obliging chef who served my steak well-done, as requested, even though it is not the best way to eat it, (medical reasons make this necessary unfortunately), and the fact that I could cut the steak with only minimal pressure on the knife, all added to a lovely evening.

The food was delicious and the service was very good! Only thing Ｉmissed was they didn't have roast beef for lunch. Next time Ｉwill go there for dinner and eat roast beef!

Excellent meal at this lovely restaurant in Coimbra. Our waiter/host was a lot a fun and the food was amazing. Simple yet very delicious.
