We were looking for somewhere to eat and saw that Le Bistro Sablais was listed on the Fork and was actually open. My better half had the oysters, I had the fois gras. Both were OK. I plumped for the magret with a fruits rouge sauce, thinking the sauce would come as an accompaniment, but in fact it had been splashed all over the magret. It was not the best sauce. A little disappointed. My better half can't remember what she had. Needless to say on a chilly Tuesday with most of the other Fork listed restaurants closed, the restaurant is a good option provided you are a bit selective. It's a largish restaurant, but was quite empty as it was a chilly Tuesday night in October. The waiter/waitress were very nice, very polite, very efficient.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was expertly prepared, with attention to both taste and presentation. I had the bass, which was delicate and flavorful, while other guests enjoyed the roasted Camembert with honey—a truly indulgent treat. The service was outstanding—helpful, kind, and attentive without being intrusive. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5

First visit to this restaurant. Five of us went - a mixed British/French group. Staff were great - attentive and friendly. Food was good, nice selection on the menu and all our choices proved to be of excellent good quality.
