Despite the fantastic write-ups Bistro Augustin was such a disappointment, The steaks we ordered were hard to cut with a sharp knife, let alone chew. The service was erratic, for example, I got my meal with no fork, which I asked for, waited for 5 minutes then had to reach out to another table and get one myself. This Bistro should loose most of its stars!

Nice decor and the food is good worthy of the accolades it has in the guides. Interesting wine list as well. However it was very noisy to the point it was difficult to hold a conversation in part due to an adjacent table of 8 on a business event where the conversation became louder and louder and more animated. A shame for the other diners and indeed restaurant as we would think twice before returning unless we could be sure of perhaps sitting outside where it may be quieter. It is a difficult balance for restaurants but too loud an environment is bad for customers and also barry had for the staff who risk hearing loss as a result.

Nice menu, what we appreciated the most was the dessert. We liked also the main courses, we found appetizers not so special, but service good. Unfortunatelly we found a hair in the dish. We didn't appreciate that wine was opened not in front of us and poured in another bottle.

I loved the food and ambiance of this place. However, from the first moment I sat down I felt that the staff (with some of the other regular local clientele) were laughing at me. I am a single, American woman who write about the restaurant on Michelin, so this feeling and how I was received was a disappointment to me. The food was amazing and I would recommend that to others. However, if the restaurant is not going to be open to all people coming from other countries and of other ethnicities, I would skip it.

This is without doubt one of the best restaurants in Paris! Excellent food, service and ambiance. The staff have the best service and they have a top Chef. Very classy. I highly recommend, especially if you have important lunch or dinner - business or personal.

We love this restaurant. Great terrace, stylish interior, professional staff and service but also a relaxed atmosphere. And perhaps most importantly, the food is delicious!
