The food was incredibly delicious. Better than we had hoped. Everything tasted fresh and was full of flavor. Though we did not speak French, our server was so helpful and patient. As we closed up our meal with the delicious tiramisu, we were given a cherry elixir to drink. It was great to try something new and so gracious of the staff. My daughter started to feel like her nut allergy was activated and left the table early to go to our room for medicine. When I shared what happened with our server, she went out of her way to speak to the chef, offer allergy medication for me to take and refer me to a pharmacy that was open late. It was already almost midnight. What a wonderful human being who cares so much for others. Needless to say, the food and service here should not disappoint.

The name Bistrot Bassano does not tell you much about this little gem of a Greek restaurant in the heart of the 16th Arrondissement, not far from the Arc de Triomphe. We sat at a rather small table but had room for everything! I speak Greek (better than my French) and chatted in Greek with the French lady who runs front of house in this authentic family owned and run restaurant… like it so often is in Greece. Her charming Greek husband works downstairs in the kitchen. The food was authentic and very well prepared and served.. the Tsatziki was just right (not overpowered with garlic) and the Taramosalata was delightfully ‘fishy’… absolutely perfect (with a little lemon) and not ‘glow in the dark’ pink as it so often is served. My wife had salmon grillé and asked if she could have it with salad (instead of the rice and chunky potato wedges that it usually comes with). It came with a light Greek salad that went perfectly with the main dish. The fish was fresh, moist and perfectly seasoned, served with a slice of lemon that accented the taste nicely. My mixed grill was very well prepared and a generous portion with many different pieces of meat from the grill. The meat was tender and the seasoning perfect! Greek hubby came up from the kitchen into the restaurant to say goodnight to one of his (Greek) regulars and stopped to chat with us. A lovely guy, obviously enjoying his work! All in all a wonderful, totally unexpected, Greek experience in the heart of Paris! Ευχαριστώ! (thank you!).

We love bistro bassano. It’s delicious. We love close and try and go every 6-8 weeks. We have a three year old and that’s never been a problem. Great food and great service

Overall, food of average quality. It was below my expectations especially when compared to the price paid. Music too loud. Tables and chairs not very comfortable.

We loved this place! It was such a surprise. The food was excellent and the owner was super friendly. We will make this a regular! The giant prawns and chicken with lemon were terrific and the baclava for dessert was just delicious.

We had a delicious Greek meal and the owner’s wife was welcoming and warm. The food was exactly what we wanted! Close to our hotel I’m the Champ Elysées area.

Food was great, and as a result we were a little surprised by how quiet it was. My partner had the lamb skewer and I had the pasta-rice. Both were sizable portions and the chocolate fondant to finish was great

Very authentic Greek food run by a lovely family. We had the mix grill, the Mezza platter, house white wine, beef balls,prawns and roasted chicken. Loved everything. Will definitely visit again.

The decorations were a bit cheesy, but when you’re in a group, all that matters is the food :))

This restaurant had delicious, authentic Greek food. We loved the eggplant and dolmades especially. The chef is from Volos, as is my uncle which made for a very pleasant surprise!
