This was a dinner to mark my last night in Paris, and was fantastic. Three courses - escargots, cassoulet, and lemon mousse, and all were very good. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the cost was reasonable. I will return on my next visit.

A very original bistrot with very original taste at the courses. We tried and really loved the soup with snails and the onion soup. A place that is definitely worth visiting.

Highly Recommended. Delicious Onion soup to start, followed by a perfect Fillet de Boeuf.Rarely take dessert but do order yourself the Croutarde du Pomme, the texture of the pastry with warm apple, complimented by an almond/calvados granité was superb. Pleasant, calm service. A very enjoyable lunch, reserve a table.👏🏼

Calm atmosphere with gentle background music. Staff were attentive and friendly. Confit de canard was delicious - tender and full of flavour. It was served with a circle of tasty interesting vegetables. We liked the medium plates of quality food rather being overwhelmed with more of a lower quality. Merci

Wonderful restaurant, lovely selections and a great server and so welcoming from the first foot in the door. I also loved the atmosphere. I could not have chosen a better restaurant for Christmas dinner. Merci beaucoup!

This was our second visit this year. Good range of very well cooked and presented food. No pretension. Quieter than our first visit and excellent service.

Superior traditional menu with southwest of France bent, real integrity and solid execution. We’ve been dining here two or three times a year for over ten years and have rarely been disappointed. Fois gras stater, confit de canard and cassoulet mains especially satisfying. Modest wine list no real value but a number of adequate food wines. Good service. Fairly priced meal for the times. Recommended.

Booked the table for 9pm, arrived 10 minutes earlier than the booking time and was told to wait for 5-10 minutes. Waited until 9, but was told now the table was not available until “it becomes available, maybe one more hour” due to the booking was made “too late” with a very bad attitude. Ultimately, we were refused service.

Visited here 14 years ago and had a wonderful experience. Revisited in September 2025 and the food, service and ambience is the same. Affordable luxury would be a good way to describe this restaurant.

It was my partner’s first time in Paris and I couldn’t imagine a better dining experience for her. The food and wine were fantastic, and we loved the atmosphere so intimate with great service. Perfect for couples, families or solo diners.

I ate at Distrot de L'Oulette a number of times with a colleague over ten years ago. it has not changed. Fine food, great staff and great experience with five friends from all over the US.

Excellent food and service. Duck confit was superb. Good wine list. Interior is spare, but everything else is first rate.

Probably our favorite bistro in Paris. First came here in 2005 and have returned multiple times in the 6 visits we’ve made to Paris since then. The food is consistently superb and the service is attentive, warm and efficient. The light in the restaurant is likewise warm and inviting. There’s nothing that is not excellent about this place, and we expect to return many more times.

This was my favorite Paris bistro years ago but I have been away from Paris now for 2-3 years and just returned to it again. Seems even better than before and my friends said it was their best meal in Paris all week. All good but desserts are a must have. Especially the Pear mousse.

The food was exquisite !!! My son had beef tenderloin & I had the traditional cassoulet, both dishes are highly recommended. The house wine (red) was also very good. If you are near the Place de Vosges, don’t hesitate in stopping by. Reservations are recommended.

We are from the US but have visited Paris 6 times since 2015 and have always come here to eat. It is superb in every way, including exceptional servers - responsive, attentive and engaging. The food is consistently excellent. A neighborhood gem that doesn’t get referenced in tourist guidebooks, which is good for us! We are staying in the neighborhood for a number of weeks and will surely come back. It reflects everything that a genuine & unpretentious bistro should be, and it will always be a very special place for us. We’ll be bringing friend here soon and will return again and again!

When we arrived at the restaurant, it was approaching their busy hour. They offered us a table outside if we were willing to wait for a check to be paid or if we preferred to sit upstairs. We opted for the latter, but were put in a room with one other party who were extremely disruptive and loud. My son went down to the maître d’ and asked if we could be moved outside and they so graciously accommodated us. Lucky for us — we had a view of the Eiffel Tower and were able to enjoy the light show at the top of the hour. My sons’ cassoulets and my duck confit were delicious! Many thanks to the restaurant for ensuring a good experience!

They greeted us with "oh so you're here for dinner we hope? Because we don't do really reservations for drinks and it's not really clwr from our website (why would I care). Tables were very small, I asked if we can change phone (it was dying and I had the charger). Waiter said no but when I said we won't be able to pay if it dies, he said OK, took it away and brought back with the same 15% as I left it. Lol. Pasta was 2/5, dish with fish was 4/5. Doesn't worth it.

We loved the friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Food and wine quality as one expects in a bistro. Excellent service level and hospitality. The interior decoration isn’t the best ever, but with such a pleasurable experience, who cares? In other words, highly recommended.
