10/10We had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner there this year - delicious food, great service and a relaxing atmosphere. So happy we chose Bistrot de l'Oulette for our holiday meal. I will be back!

The cassoulet was absolutely delicious! Loved the warm combination of duck gizzard, sausage and beans. The restaurant had at least half of the clientele being French, which was a sign of authenticity. Strongly recommend!

10/10I came here for the Duck Confit and I was not disappointed. It was one of the best dishes I have had in Paris. The waiter recommended the perfect wine paring with my meal, and the dessert was exceptional as well. One of my favorite meals so far! Exceptional.

10/10We loved Bistrot de l'Oulette! It was very welcoming, in an intimate and atmospheric setting. The service was very obliging and gracious, and the food was superb - authentic French regional cooking. We went on two consecutive nights (the only 2 nights we were in the area), which is most unusual for us. We felt the price was reasonable, given that it is located in a fashionable area of Paris, very close to the Place des Vosges. We definitely hope to go again next time we are in Paris, and will certainly recommend it. Diana and Peter

10/10My wife and I recently had dinner at Bistrot de l'Oulette. I enjoyed a salad followed by the duck breast, while my wife had the fois gras and lamb parmentier. We enjoyed all the dishes! The staff was friendly and attentive. Because the bistrot is near our apartment, we will be back soon. Great job team!

6/10Sadly, we were overall disappointed having read such good reviews. The waiter was a very nice man but the service was very fast. We ordered main courses, no starters and were presented with mackerel pate amuse bouche, very nice, immediately followed by a bowl of soup, again very tasty indeed but neither came with an explanation of what they were. With my wifes nut allergy this would have been disaster if nuts were involved. Immediately on finishing the soup our mains arrived too fast for all of it to have ben cooked fresh, ie the risotto underneath the fish. this was not a good risotto and did not actually go with the fish. The steak was very good but the potato dish must have been prepared. One quick desert served within a minute or so and we were out in 45 mins total. So were were left feeling the evening experience and some elements of the food could and should have been better.

2/10Despite making the reservation well in advance we were seated in the very cramped, hot back 1/3rd of the restaurant - notably where only other English speaking patrons had been seated. It was narrow, with no view and uncomfortable (unlike the front). We were rushed to order, but then our wine and sparkling water failed to be served - while our appetizers were quickly dropped and sat there as we patiently waited for our wine and water. We asked twice for both and were ignored - but a second basket of (unneeded) bread was dropped on the table. The appetizers cooled and we were appalled with the service. We are Canadian (and speak reasonable French), but were responded to in a curt manner. The native French speaking clients in the front of the restaurant were getting excellent service. After waiting 10 more minutes, we paid for our appetizers and left (although one was untouched). The owner didn’t even seem interested to know what the issue was. It was appalling and a cliche.

Warm atmosphere and tasting menu, definitely worth trying. The duck confit looks dry on the appearance, but it was flavorful. The creme burléé has the creamy texture beneath the crispy sugar glaze. The staff was friendly and helpful, with great suggestions and complimentary house red.

10/10Excellent classic food and responsive service. We have come to Paris 5 times in last 9 years and always go to Bistro de l’Oulette at least once during our stay. It is consistently excellent and has thoughtfully chosen wine list as well. Will always come back!

6.5/10We enjoyed our evening in this very small but lovely place. My dishes, the asparagus soup and roast duck, were good but not remarkable. The apple tart, however, was outstanding, to the extent that I would return for it alone if I could.

10/10Great way to spend our last night in Paris. Best meal of our 2 weeks exploring restaurants in the Marais. Food was excellent, wine was excellent, service was excellent and we were able to get a Saturday night reservation the same day.

+1We arrived a bit early and they offered us a little entrée. The place is small so is better to do a reservation, the food is delicious and the staff really nice!
