10/10We arrived about half an hour early because it was POURING and we just needed to escape the all day rain. They graciously let us in and seated us early, we were so grateful! The service was lovely and the food was delicious. We loved the ambiance.

Tried onion soup (not too saturated), frog legs (sauce perfectly complements tender meat), tartare (size of the portion is impressive), scallops (nice presentation, they also add mushrooms to the mashed potatoes), profiteroles - loved all of these positions .

6/10We came to Bistrot des Fables 5 months ago and had a wonderful experience, so we decided to come with some friends again today. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t great. Although we had an attentive service, the waiter looked somewhat distracted (even if we were the only table). The food was not good, the beef steak tasted like fish (which talks about either cutting the meat where there was fish or not cleaning well enough the areas). Very disappointed that in such a short time the quality declined so much. We will not be back after the experience today.

9.5/10A traditional, small bistro on a corner of a lovely street running between Eiffel Tower and Invalides. Some outside tables, welcome on a searingly hot day, we’d booked and were offered a choice of tables inside or out. Brilliant waiter and indeed all staff. The best thing of course was excellent cooking. A superb, large salad Nicoise, perfect banquet de veau and perfectly cooked cod. And a wine which I’ve not seen anywhere on a menu outside of its Basque home. Irouleguy red or white, much enjoyed

2/10Food was all around bad. Frog leg was tasteless and relied purely on garnishing. The plat de jour was a fish that was overcooked. The entree de jour was also a joke and consisted of only cabbage and raisins and can’t really be seriously considered as an appetizer. Don’t understand the high ratings. The outdoor umbrella was unsecured and collapsed and hit me in the leg and another customer in the face. No apologies were made by the staff. Staff also dropped a spoon on my foot prior. All in all, worst restaurant I have had in Paris.

Pleasant restaurant on Rive gauche nr Eifel tower. Nice menu. Onion soup was very good. Salad as plat seemed overpriced and the protein was skimpy.. The salmon tartare was good.
