7/10Food is not as good as rated. Ordered beef fillet but sold out. The side dish we ordered for our main course was extremely salty. Grilled mix Vege was overcooked burned and dry.

10/10I was seriously disappointed when I was told nothing I wanted on the menu was available. No lasagna no carbonara pizza no mushroom risotto and god forbid no Negroni!!!😱😱😱😱 the four things I went for specifically. however crisis averted, this turned out to be the very best meal I had on this trip in Italy. From the food to the service everything was outstanding. The antipasto platter and pasta were delicious. The best pizza I’ve had. And I’m from new York so I’m picky about my pizza. Even the bread was delicious and fresh!!!

10/10Bistrot San Mamolo was a delightful find on the outskirts of Bologna. As an experienced traveler and food enthusiast, I always seek hidden gems, and this charming restaurant fits the bill. I opted for the classic Caprese salad, a refreshingly perfect way to start the meal. The tomatoes were flavorful, the mozzarella was creamy and soft, and the basil added a touch of fragrant herbaceousness. It was a simple dish done exceptionally well. For my main course, I couldn't resist the pizza with prosciutto and mozzarella. The crust was thin and crispy, with a hint of char from the wood-fired oven. The toppings were of the highest quality, with the prosciutto being melt-in-your-mouth tender and the mozzarella gooey and delicious. Each bite was a symphony of textures and flavors. The atmosphere at Bistrot San Mamolo is warm and inviting. The restaurant is small and intimate, with exposed brick walls and dim lighting that creates a cozy ambiance. The service was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Bistrot San Mamolo is a fantastic spot for a delicious and authentic Bolognese meal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in this beautiful city. I give it a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars. P.S. 7.5/10The first time I went it was really good. Now I don’t know why but the pasta was too smushed, the cotoletta was very hard and not very tasty. Even the potatoes that used to be boiled/fried now were so and so. A bit disappointing

10/10There is a very nice ambiance and the service is top-notch. The meat is very good and the pasta homemade is delicious, recommended to try! Will be back soon!
