10/10I had a great experience at this restaurant. The rib eye was absolutely delicious — tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole evening even better. I definitely recommend this place!

7/10Interesting experience! Food was great but apparently angered the waitress asking to put my still breathing steak back on a grill for a second since I got a well overcooked one back. And missed the order for a starter, which was probably a good thing since the main was enough. Many spelling mistakes on daily hand written signs and printed menu we found amusing. Coctails! So yeah. Interesting. Tasty. But not super impressed by the service but maybe they know it’s a Fork booking and pay less attention.. not sure. Generally a bit confused by the whole thing.

9/10We had a wonderful time with friends. The ambience is great and relaxed. Staff was very friendly and professional. The grilled veggies were fantastic!

7/10The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, but the tables are very close together. The menu met our expectations. We had a gin and tonic as an aperitif which was very good and then two 100% angus beef burgers which were really very tasty. The waiters were friendly but the service was very slow. We recommend arriving around 8pm when most people have finished dinner. The service will be quicker and you will be less crowded.

Great restaurant in Amsterdam! The food was outstanding, the service was phenomenal, and the ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and warm. This was my first experience booking the reservation through TheFork app and I couldn't have been more pleased with how the entire process worked. Sure enough... 30% cut off right off the top. Thanks to Restaurant Black for participating in the program. I'll be back and will get another Rib Eye to share next time for sure.

I found the food to be mixed, my steak was not great, but was passable. the scallops were lovely, oysters were delicious. the chips were slightly overcooked. it took us a long time to get seated and I feel we were mostly ignored by the staff. overall, I would expect better. if you only have a a few days in Amsterdam, I would avoid.

6/10We ordered the Ribeye Angus Steak 600 grams. The steak was quiet bland needed bit more flavour. The steak was clearly grilled and you can taste a lot of charring. The cut was quiet tough as well, so overall not worth it for the price. Should look for other alternatives for the steak especially with that thickness, like Sous Vide + Grill to induce flavours or Reverse sear and basting. Service was good but it seems they abide by rules of the restaurant that don’t prioritise the customer. For example replacing a sauce that was only tasted with no additional cost (pepper corn sauce was really distasteful). However, I won’t criticise the waiters they performed their duty greatly.

10/10Very good restaurant, great location and very good service. we really enjoyed it. the interior is charming and cozy. The food and drinks are really good. Definitely good value for money. And the fries as much as you can eat are really a plus. A recommendation to go there from us.

7.5/10The reservation was easy, my 2nd time around very compact restaurant tiny spaces expected ,food was great had an amazing succulent fire grilled steak.bad experience with a coffee cocktail thought would get a replacement no luck…. Pricing is good, staff friendly.Would go again.

We have been to the other 2 brands of the chain and I can confidently say Black was the best. The restorant itself has a warm and intimate vibe. Tables are well arranged, seats were comfy. The music was good and not very loud either. We tried 4 different coctails (Paloma, Margarita, Pornstar and coctail of the month) They were all delicious at an affordable price. Butcher steak was good. Ribeye was very delicious. Cooked excatly the way we asked for, juicy and tender. Brussel Sprouts, Beef and Mushrooms Bruschettas were tasty but nothing special. For deserts we ordered Chocolate Crumble - was really nice and Baklava - the weakest link of the night and the menu. Service was really attentive and even took their time to discuss our feedback with us. We enjoyed our meal and time at Black. Money well spent! We will definitely visit again for the Ribeye and coctails.

The place is lovely but the food is not outstanding, had the sword fish and was hard and fatty, steak tartare was good and half lobster too. Cocktails great! 😊

Food was quite good (meet better than fish) and the informations about the wines were lacking a bit. Otherwise the restaurant is quite nice, the service is very nice too and you have a lot of choice.

This was my third visit to Restaurant Black and the food, service, and atmosphere were just as good as my previous visits. I sat at an outside table and the staff were very attentive, but not in annoying way. They make an excellent burger and fries!
