Yesterday the 4 of us were looking for an exotic bite for Sunday lunch in Scheveningen and were surprised that many restaurants were closed for lunch. The owner of Bombay Palace happened to spot Rob checking out his restaurant and gallantly offered to open especially for us - a big thumb's up for him! He was very welcoming, encouraging us to tell him the curry dishes we wanted so he could ask the kitchen to whip them up for us. We shared 4 curries: mutton, prawn, paneer & spinach and mixed vegetables and everything was delicious, right down to the mango lassi. The decor of the restaurant is unfortuntately a bit dated and our meal was a wee bit disturbed by several screaming children (family members?) in the restaurant. The owner also admitted that on-street parking is problematic, but getting there by bike or public transport is easy enough.
