10/10This was my 4th time visiting Bono restaurant. It is a great place to dine. Quiet, but without lacking in the atmosphere. Good for romantic date's, or dinner with family and friends. The food and cocktails were excellent 👌

6/10We dined here twice about two weeks apart. Totally different experience the second time. Server did not know the menu, forgot items and had to be reminded often and was generally very slow. Better trained staff would help with consistency.

10/10Excellent and friendly service with fantastic food in a refined and stylish restaurant. The size of the restaurant gave it a feeling of coziness. Me and my gf had the Valentine’s Day 7-step menu which consisted of many small delicacies. The amount of food was just right to make us full without being stuffed. Thanks for a great evening, Bono Team!

7.5/10Some dishes excellent while others were average. White fish gravlax disappointed. Chocolate dessert was excellent. Other mains were highly rated. Nice ambiance. Service was not amazing but ok. Chef came the table to ask us what we thought - a very nice touch and shows real effort to please.

9/10Very good quality food, very innovative presentations, loved the carrot salad and the rack of lamb was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The presentation for the lemon meringue pie was awesome and really tasty. If you are a foodie this is a really fine dining place for you.!

10/10This restaurant is one of the best we’ve testés un Lisboa ! All the meal was excellent with very special and exotic flavors, the chief and all the staff was very sympatic, kind and we discover new tastes we didn’t see on other restaurants, we recomend highly this place to be !! Big thanks to the chief for his specials drinks and porto after the dessert !!

9/10Almost everything was spot on and excellent for its price for the quality you’re getting. The serving staff was spot on but if you really want to get the best of it sit on the bar facing the kitchen that’s where the real show is.

6.5/10The food was good but the waiter has no basic knowledge about being a waiter from the way he was serving us to the way he was insisting on suggesting some meals. Another annoying thing at the place is the sound. It s very noisy people need to talk loud to be able to have a conversation. Not the best mood for dinner

5.5/10The service here was awful for only our table. It’s a tiny restaurant where they can see every table at once and yet everyone else around us was getting so much more attention. We waited 20 minutes just to get a menu. We ordered bread with a starter but were told there was no bread left, then 10 minutes later the table next to us got a basket of bread with their starter. We didn’t eat our mains until almost 2 hours after arriving. The food was tasty but portions were small and didn’t make up for the rude and unfair service. Im not sure whether it was because we were the youngest table there that they thought we weren’t important.

7.5/10Food was delicious but service could be better. They took too long to bring the couvert and we understood why: warm bread and caponata a la minute. Waitress should have advised and we would have totally understood. Filet was perfectly cooked and gnocchi of sweet potato a nice surprise.

6/10Our dishes were either not cooked to specification or just flavorless. When attempting to signal our displeasure, the staff paid us no attention, until the very end of the meal. At that point, it was too late to either ask for a different entree or make any other change. The pasta, alone, was a success.

7.5/10Nice place and nice staff and food is tasty. Really liked the atmosphere. Our waiter’s English was pretty limited so for recommendations and help with the menu and wines, it’s best to know Portuguese.

6/10Our expectations might have been high after reading the reviews but sad to say it was a disappointment. Great service but we have eaten much better at small local restaurants. The octopus was not tender and the pure was cold. The bread to the burger was not fresh and the meat was tasteless.

5/10Absolutely too expensive both for the food and for the service. They didn’t have our reserve, they made us change table (to end in the bar), they didn’t bring us water (but of course it was in the bill) and, lastly, we had to ask them to apply the the fork discount (i always feel bad when I have to do it). At least the food was nice, but the choice very limited (and not original at all) and the portions were pretty small, as if we were in another target of restaurant.

10/10I am an American / California woman living in Lisbon. My native Lisboan boyfriend (professionally trained chef) and I came here for the first time for a romantic dinner after a day at the beach paddleboarding. We were graciously welcomed here and felt most comfortable in this upscale setting despite my boyfriend’s casual (jeans/tshirt:loafer) attire. The chef wa delightfully HUMBLE and attentive. We are foodies, very keen on vibe were both equally impressed. We jokingly chose Boco for its description of their French Fries (crispy on the outside / soft on the inside) because we are fresh fry lovers who are on a quest for the perfect fry, which in our experience is a rare find in Lisbon (usually limp). The heat of the oil is key. We enjoyed beef carpaccio and ceviche and were wowed! I never eat raw beef but this was incredibly delicious and we ate every morsel! The beef was prepared fresh, minced to order. The ceviche was equally fresh and served in a most inventive way with savory but light miso / citrus broth with tapioca pearls that had the texture of caviar. Garnished with fresh flowers ????. This could have easily been a meal but we both also ordered full steak dinners. He ordered the traditional Brazilian style which was very tasty and cooked to perfection over coals (very pink in the center). I had the filet mignon, which was incredibly tender, served with a cheesy gnocchi. I love cheese and gnocchi but was not fond of this combination. The cheese (menu said parmesean) seemed too pungent and overwhelmed the soft light gnocchi (personal taste). The filet was cut in two thin medallions so was rather thin making it hard to keep pink in center. It would have been better left thick with more quick braising on the outside. I would have preferred a vegetable side. I would recommend the other style of steak as it was much more tasteful. Of course we had to try the french fries. We actually asked for them to be fried a bit more to make them even crispier and it was done in a flash w/o an ounce of attitude. We were grateful for this kindness and attention to guests’ preferences! The decor was very ambient with romantic amber lighting and cool hand blown glass globes hanging on the back wall in various stages of flow, draping over wooden posts. Very original, simple and creative. We will absolutely return! We wish this chef and team much success. They are obviously passionate about their food and their patrons experience.

10/10We had a fantastic meal. Started with the caponata (beautiful, fresh, perfectly balanced) and mussels. Then my husband had the filet mignon with sweet potato gnocchi and I had the cod with potato and onion/red pepper mix. Both were excellently done. Unfortunately no room for dessert this time.
