We had a wonderful dinner at Borax last night. Our Cuban server was great as was the food and wine. We shared the avocado and tomato salad to start, followed by Ropa Vieja (a famous Cuban dish) that was delicious and the Cerdo Asado that was also wonderful. The side dishes that come with the meals are very good: rice, black beans, fried bananas, and fried plantains. We enjoyed our evening at Borax and will return on our next visit to Madrid! One of the best meals we had during our two week trip in Spain. The dishes reminded us of our favorite Cuban restaurant in Denver, Cuba Cuba. Great find!

Treatment was excellent! Very nice service! The waiters were wonderful. Food extremely authentic Latin American. The beans were amazing. Definitely recommend.

This Cuban restaurant in Chueca is small but just right. The menu is limited, but everything we ordered was delicious. They did not have the cocktails listed on the menu (they were basic anyway) so we tried the Cuban beers instead - very good. The Tamal as a starter was terrific, large and tasty. For main plates, we had the huevos & vaca frita. Both were excellent. We were too full for dessert. The meal started with typical Spanish olives and bread - this was a distraction from the Cuban-ness of the rest of the meal. Will visit again!
