5.5/10The place is very well located by the river. So if the weather is good, sitting outside for dinner will be a success. Dinner isn't bad, but it doesn't live up to the price. You could eat better for much less money. I booked because of my wife's surprise birthday. The chocolate dessert was better than dinner. Although I mentioned the birthday in the reservation, no one at the restaurant mentioned it. Nor did they mention any minor details for my wife. So it was just another night...

4/10Our experience fell short of expectations. The ambience was modest, lacking a sense of authenticity and warmth. The waitress was overly polite, to the point where it didn’t feel genuine. The cutlery felt and looked cheap. The menu promised more than it delivered — while it sounded ambitious, the execution and presentation were modest. We arrived for the 13:30 slot, and it felt like we were being rushed from the start. By 14:30, staff began cleaning tables around us, and as one of the last guests, we felt pressured to finish our dessert and coffee quickly. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I would not return.

We arrived at the restaurant within the time tolerance indicated by the app and were warmly welcomed. However, the table service was inattentive, giving the impression of rushing to complete the service. Our appetizers arrived before we could even choose our wine, which is inappropriate for a Michelin restaurant. The service continued to be inadequate throughout the lunch. The food was nothing exceptional, although well-prepared, and overpriced for the service provided.

5/10We had reservations at 21:00h. We needed to wait outside in -4 Celsius for over 15 minutes for our table. Then we wanted to order a bottle of wine, but the waiter started to say “the wine we picked was not a good wine, because it’s a dry wine and we should pick a different wine”, my husband told him that we still would like to order it, then the waiter said that they didn’t have that wine anymore. I don’t understand why he couldn’t just say that from the beginning. The food was below average for the price, the ambience was nice, but they should have some heating lamps outside, for people that are waiting to be seated during winter season.

9/10Very relaxing atmosphere, clean and comfortable. The food was amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was the fish dish that was covered in sliced leeks. The leeks were overwhelming. The rest of the menu was incredible. I was impressed by the value and quality for the price. I would definitely recommend. Bon appétit.

6/10Nothing special. Plus, the reservation was at 7 pm and the restaurant opened at 7.05. Five minute outside waiting to open a place where you made reservation is not a good start in relation with clients. The amouse bouche was something really strange. The veal ribs were good, but nothing special. Service was good but after 1.45 hour we were announced that is time to leave because there will be a second service at 9.00 pm. Really unusual for us and we have a lot of experience . Good wine, nice presentation. We think this restaurant can do better !

+2A very gracious meal! Great food, attentive, professional service, and a beautiful dining room make for the -best- meal we’ve enjoyed in pretty much all of France. We’d heard a lot about the Entre Côte in France, but until now, every one we’ve tried has been a disappointment. Not so the one at Bord’eau! Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked to order. The accompaniments were every bit as delicious and very clever as well. And the foie gras starter was absolutely incredible. While the madness of Christmas markets and wall-to-wall tourists outside raged, the calm comfort of a fine dining experience at Bord’eau was a welcome time to recharge and enjoy ourselves. Definitely a memorable experience to savor!

9/10A lovely place in the heart of Colmar, by the canal. The staff is very friendly, serving fine food and wines , with style. We can recommend this restaurant for those who are willing to spend ca 150-200 for two persons nice quality dinner.

Over-rated. What was good: Grilled octopus and grilled pork neck. Presentation was good. What could have been better: A table in the shade ( they refused to seat us in one despite having a reservation and there being many open tables. The cheese pop-overs were over cooked and dry. The tomato mish-mash salad was uninspired. The potatoes served with the grilled lamb were bland and pasty. Certainly not up to expectations. Service was attentive.

Very tasty food with the little extra, appetisers, bread and chocolate! French with at hint of asian touch was very good, the chicken marvellous. Very attentive waiters. Slightly more attentive to french speaking guests, but you know, we were in no hurry.

We had a reservation for 9pm. We got to our table around 09:40 pm and after 1 hour after getting there we were served the first course. We paid approx 250 euros to have this experience, but it did not meet our expectations. The foie gras and seabass were very good, but the main course, which for me was the lamb and for my boyfriend the duck beast, not so good. The meat was chewy and it was not supposed to be like that. The plate with the duck breast remained almost intact and we were not asked what was wrong.

6.5/10This restaurant was a good option for dinner but if you are looking for an amazing special taste, this is not going to be your choice. Average food, average taste. Nothing so special. You can eat the same thing for a much lower price

5.5/10I have eaten here at the height of summer and had a wonderful experience. Service, food and ambience was what you would expect from a Michelin rated restaurant. This time, January 6, 2024 19:00 seating, my dinner was good (venison steak, seared scallops) my friend's (sesame encrusted chicken, lobster timbale) was not at all as described and was quite subpar. Service was horrible and has caused me to decide to never return. Shameful staff behavior on part of our primary waitress, though the table clearing staff attempted to apologize. Have eaten in many Michelin restaurants before. This one no longer deserves the rating.

8/10Location in heart of the Christmas market outstanding. Menu features traditional Alsacian dishes, but no salad or soup. The dessert Tiramisu was delicious. Service a bit slow. Would go back again.
