If you can fit this into your Italy itinerary, this is a must stop. The drive there is gorgeous and worth the trip alone. The owner and chef is engaging and speaks good english, as does the staff. His cuisine is to die for - every dish was amazing (gnocci, lasagna, tagliatelle ragu, and an excellent desert recommended by the owner). The wine he recommended (2020 Concerto Lambrusco) was so good we bought a bottle to take with us. Lunch outside on the plaza offered a great view of the valley and the weather (which we lucked out on) was 70 degrees and very pleasant. We highly recommend this restaurant for its great food, great service, and most excellent ambiance.
