10/10Excellent restaurant with wonderful ambiance. The food was amazing and the service was superb. We drive in from Gaiole and it was worth the half hour drive.

10/10Very beautiful authentic restaurant a little bit outside Siena. The food was really a dream, amazing, brilliant, wonderful. I have no words for it. The waitress was very friendly and advised is well regarding the dishes and the wine. Unfortunately we could not leave any tips as tips by card are not possible and we did not have any cash with us.

9.5/10Very nice restaurant just outside Siena. The service was friendly and yet really professional and the food was great (the octopus is one of the best I’ve ever had). The inside looks very nice and romantic. The parking in front is so convenient. Can’t recommend enough.

10/10In this very cozy restaurant we were served the best meal during our trip in Tuscany. The tasting menu was excellent from amuse bouche to dessert. If you are a lover of exceptional food, definitely go there.

6/10Although some of the dishes were good others were bad. This restaurant serves dishes as high-end cuisine but it feels pretentious and not ready to be in this league. Service was nice but a long waiting time between dishes.

9.5/10A place that should be busier from people discovering it! A great discovery with elaborate dishes and ingredients you don't necessarily find in other trattorias (octopus, pigeon, suckling pig...) and the staff who is at their entire disposal for you.

8/10Good food and nicely served. Excellent wine list. The Fork has an incorrect address listed for them....use google. Ordered red wine, brought me a white and argued with me. Billed for both wines, even though only opened one. Easy mistake but insisted I was wring.

8/10Overall experience was not compliant to what I expected seeing the 9.4. The food was presented very nicely and dishes were tasteful but to me it would be preferable to use less salt. A kitchen with aspirations but still missing a few things to justify the price and rating. In Tuscany I have eaten better for less money. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick and would deserve a 10/10.

10/10This restaurant got everything right. Food was FANTASTIC! Our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. His wine suggestion was cheaper than the wines we were considering and it paired perfectly with our meal. The chef made time to come out personally and check on us. How does this place not have a Michelin Star? It was a little bit warm inside but every other thing was perfect!

10/10An excellent restaurant with great food and really attentive service. The staff really care about your experience and the food is beautifully presented and delicious. A good selection of wines are on offer at reasonable prices. Botteganova is definitely worth a visit. We will be back!

2/10Unfortunately after seeing so many positive reviews we were quite excited about this meal. To our dismay, the food was just incredibly bad. The foie gras was inedible (to which the waiter was confused when we didn’t finish it and cleared the table besides this dish effectively demanding we finish it, the tuna tartare still had pieces of skin on it and had nearly gone off (potentially already had). The pasta dishes were fine but subpar to average. For mains we ordered a bistecca Florentine and a selection of seafood… the steak was salt and peppered with oil at the table by the server, a first for all of us, was cut against the grain so it was incredibly tough to eat. The seafood platter was a selection of raw seafood which had partially gone off and we ended up eating none of it. Unfortunately we had to make excuses for why we couldn’t eat it and left immediately after the secondi. The only positive for the dinner was they had a lovely selection of local wines. Our best guess is that there may have been an ownership change or the Monday chef crew is a waiter trying to help out, if the latter is the case, they should make a condensed menu of easy to execute options that aren’t adventurous in the slightest. We unfortunately wasted one of our dinners of our trip on this. I hope others do not have a similar experience.

10/10The entire meal from start to finish was exceptional. Started with octopus appetizer, moved on to tortellini, gnocchi, pici, then secondi of sea bass, tuna, and then finished with an amazing desert. Highly recommend.

9/10We really liked having lunch at Botteganova. The staff is very gentle, the chef Antonio also showed up at the end to greet us. Food is really nice, we had fresh porcini mushrooms delivered to the restaurant the same morning. The tartare trio was also real nice. The menu has many options that made us willing to go back soon!!
