10/10My family and I had lunch at Bouchon Rouge during our visit to Lyon in July 2024. We particularly wanted to try Lyonnais food. Unsure of what to order, we followed the waiter’s recommendation and opted for their suggested lunch set at a special price. We ordered two Lyonnais food sets, which included appetizers (entrées), main courses (plats), and desserts. Although the portions didn't look particularly large, the three of us were stuffed after the meal. The food was indeed special and presented very well. We were very satisfied with the quality, taste, and portion sizes, as well as the service. I highly recommend it.

10/10We were warmly welcomed by the chef Jeeva with a beautiful starter plate followed by the main dish. Very calm music and atmosphere. Definitely will come again here!

9/10There are some menù at various prices on top of the "a la carte" option which we have chosen: we have appreciated the option of two sizes for each selection, small or large: it avoids wasting food, you can try more choices... Very good food, we all have meat but fish is also available. Menù for kids until 10 y also possible. Recommended

3/10Poor service set the tone.........and the food was much less then we had hoped for. Intensely salty, wilted salad, bottled dressing or poorly made, and the meat was too tough to chew. Others in the place seemed to be enjoying their food. Perhaps because we didn't speak french or were Americans. Would not recommend.

5/10The soup and salad as starters were good as were the desserts, but the quality of our main courses was poor. The beef dish was made with vey poor quality meat and tasted of tobacco and served over pasta. The pork dish was dry as were the potatoes. And the waiter was uncaring.

5/10Food was good, but the staff is unexperienced, service was really weird (server wore a winter coat and was playing his own inappropriate Playlist on his phone), tableware was dirty. The whole thing was really weird, unprofessional.

It’s a very good restaurant in the heart of Vieux Lyon, the waiters are friendly and the price is fair (one full menu is 21€). I truly enjoyed the experience and I would definitely go there again!

10/10Super nice cosy restaurant right in the heart of Lyon. Food is very diverse and flavorful, good chance to learn and taste the real Lyonnaise food. Service and environment is also super good. I had the chance to eat in the downstairs room that was amazing.

10/10This place was wonderful. Our French was a little lacking and the lady taking care of us could not have been more kind or patient. Now, the food....we come from New Orleans, so we know tasty food. This was tasty food. To start we had the escargot and terrine. Perfect. But then I had the slow cooked pork roast and my husband had the cochon poitrine fume, which turned out to be , i think, pork belly. The pork roast was delicate, tender, flavorful. The pan gravy was scrumptious. The potatoes were divine. My husband's dish with the pork belly was incredible. It was like no other pork belly I've ever had. It was not supper fatty. It was one of the best things I have ever eaten. We did not want it to end! We then had cheese to round out the evening. Give this lovely place a try. We were not disappointed!! Yum!!

5.5/10We have had some amazing bowls of onion soup in France. This soup was so awful we couldn’t eat it. Soup was so salty, cheese was dry and burned on top.
