My wife and I had a reservation at the time of their opening for the day. They were right on point at opening and seated us almost immediately with great courtesy in an absolutely beautiful atmosphere. This Bouillion restaurant was right in the greatest tradition of fine French food -of some of the most humble heritage. But don’t misunderstand, It was incredibly elegant and lovingly prepared. The service s taff were delightful, and engaging, more than willing to answer questions and just generally lovely people! As for the food, it was beyond expectation, flavorful, attractive, satisfying, and very traditional! I don’t know what the history of Michelin restaurant guide recognition is, but I can’t imagine any place being more beautifully defining of the history and tradition of fine French dining?

Absolutely charming restaurant in Edwardian-Belle Epoch style which has wonderful ambiance. A lovely place to eat, particularly upstairs which is open and full of light. Food was very good and not at all expensive. Not Michelin, but the Egg/Spinach appetiser and Cod in sauce main course were both excellent, as was the cheese to follow. Service was friendly and very good humoured with definite personal touches. For me, definitely a bientot.

The restuarant is beautiful, nice ambience and the service staff are friendly. The wine selection is good. However, the food is not good. The veal main course we ordered were bad. The meat was cooked bad, too tough. The creme brûlée were cold and milky. Very disappointed with the food option!

We have eaten there many times. However, this time was extremely disappointing. Each dish arrived while we’re still eating our previous course, the table was never cleaned properly between courses, the food was not warm enough, and the check was brought before we finished our meal. We arrived for an early seating, the restaurant was almost empty, but, despite our request, we were seated in a dark corner upstairs, far away from the main part of the room. They were not gracious. It felt like an assembly line and we’ve never had that experience in Paris. Sadly, despite its beauty, we would not return.

Went for the beautiful decor but ended up being delightfully surprised by the delicious food. The soup du jour (butternut squash) and dessert du jour (mango cream torte) were sublime. Service was very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

Although we made a reservation 2 day prior the restaurant didn’t even have a table ready and it was not busy. Food was ok. Had foil gras, veal tartare and veal tenderloin and Bordeaux wine.

Very few restaurants are open on Sunday night in Paris, so it’s a plus that this lovely Art Deco/Nouveau is available. On the other hand, it means crowds and tourist groups. The chestnut soup is a winner; the other three dishes we had so-so. The wait staff is a bit harried given the crowd. In a week’s stay, this was the most disappointing experience but can also see the value in a large establishment that has preserved important architecture.

The ambience of this restaurant was over the top. Lovely. The service was great and this traditional restaurant served food that you would expect from a place of such historical significance. I would definitely eat there again on a return to Paris.

There was a very noisy tour group when we arrive and we couldn’t hear each other until they left… except for this incident, food and service were great. We’ve had a very kind waiter who kept kicking with our children.

Booked on line before travelling to Paris. Chose this restaurant as it looked great from the photos. Wasn’t disappointed. Food was good, the service great and the ambience was every bit as good as we had hoped. Would definitely book again if we returned to Paris.

Excellent as usual.One of my favourite places.We had the table we like and my lunch of choice,boeuf bourgignon and the absolute best dessert,Iles flottantes.Very nice bottle of burgundy too!The staff are pleasant and efficient.Extremely good value set lunch in a special place.Always worth the visit.Thank you everyone.

While the restaurant outside look and inside decor is amazing, the food is good, so not as wow as the look and feel of the restaurant. The food quality is similar to any brasserie in paris, only the place and it’s history make the difference for this very french, parisien experience. Service is not very good, there not enough waiters and food was very late and not so hot when served, but tasted good

We have eaten here before and would always recommend it. The history and decor of the restaurant are of particular interest. It is an Art Nouveau masterpiece. The staff are professional and service is excellent. The menu is very good, including vegetarian options. The lunchtime menu is excellent value.

Service was terrible (ordered a drink which came 30 minutes after ordered and 5-10 minutes after food arrived), food was mediocre (vegetables were overcooked and cold). Asked to speak to the manager 3 times, he never showed even though I was told he was coming when asked. When leaving, saw the manager and he said he was never told I wanted to speak to him. (That’s an even bigger problem from a management standpoint ). Save yourself some aggravation and go to one of the multiple other places available to go for dinner.

We arrived a little earlier and waited in line to get into the restaurant. The staff seemed to be rushing us at every stage. The waiter knocked over my champagne and then replaced it with a glass half full! Yes I had drunk some but for goodness sake replace a whole glass for the mistake. It was really irritating so we called the manager who was not helpful. We had ordered an expensive bottle of wine and the food was not of a high standard at all. The whole experience was really disappointing for a highly rated French restaurant.

Food was good but you’re mainly coming for the ambience, which is great given the period pieces, tiles and artwork. Despite the positives, the host really got our dinning experience off to a terrible start. We showed up 5 minutes early for our reservation (god forbid) and he treated us extremely rudely and condescendingly, eventually telling us that they opened at 7. If this was what bothered him so badly all he had to do was ask us to kindly wait outside and we would have gladly done so. Instead he got in our face and spoke to us not in the manner you would expect of a decent restaurant that is welcoming guests. Too bad he set the stage this way for a paying customer because it somewhat spoiled our initial impressions of the venue and the evening.

The service was done mechanically. The water wanted to rush the dishes as quickly as he could. We were instructed to decide about the desert although we asked to delay the decision after main course. We will not teturn again.

We we're recommenced to try this restaurant by a friend, we were not disappointed, incredible place, incredible food, great service and all for a very reasonable price.
