10/10This very “Paris-like” bistro was surprisingly good excellent. The food we had (we, 7 persons, ate half of the menu) was excellent and the female waitress (boss?) was extraordinary, even that we are not that familiar with French ;-)

10/10I booked Brasserie les affranchis through Fork online as it is a short walk from our hotel. We were welcolmed by a very friendly chap who wasn't offended by my poor French! Seated by the window we could watch the street life. The vibe was busy, well-liked popular place to eat for locals as well as tourists. Water came without asking and we had a glass of Bordeux & a passion fruit cocktail. I had the pork; melt-in-the mouth tender served with creamed potato (not a lump in sight) & a garlic and chillie-infused oil that when drizzled over the meat blended with juices that I mopped up with the French bread. My daughter had vegetarian burger that was nice but too much for her. For dessert, crepes with apricot jam for me and creme brule for my daughter - both very good. Excellent coffee to finish. Our waiter was friendly, forgiving (of my stilted French), upbeat & efficient. Good value at €53. Definitely recommend.

10/10Fantastic service, excellent duck confit, menu available in English. I regret not paying with The Fork because I wasn't able to leave the tip I wanted to with my credit card (my mistake). Highly recommend! A gem.

9/10Solid neighborhood restaurant with friendly, capable service all day and well-executed standard fare. The tuna/avocado entree was outstanding and the salads — we had 3 different ones — were excellent. Good value for the price in a friendly local setting.
