The area is a bit urban and the walk from the metro less than salubrious but the restaurant is welcoming and the food is good value.

It had a really high expectation for this restaurant given its long history and past reputation. My dining experience has certainly met my expectations. In particular, the hospitality of the staff and the food quality are both exceptional. I would highly recommend getting their Filet américain “Les Trappistes” (not spoiling anything here, just go and have a try, you will then know), as well as the Coeur de cabillaud à l’Ostendaise. There is a little challenge for you too, because the menu is only in French. If you are willing to take this challenge, or use a translation app to help you, this is the right place for you to try some authentic Belgian food.

Food was good. The ambiance was traditional and enjoyable. The seating however was absurdly closely packed together. Literally unable to leave our table without having our neighbours get up to let us out. Looking at photos I think this may have been just for Valentines Day. Still, worth knowing if you plan to go on a high-demand day.

Love the place ! You get a feeling to travel back in time thanks to decor, waiters and owner are charming. Obviously, food is perfect and of quality ! Try the choucroute with 5 meats you won’t regret it ! (No worries Molenbeek isn’t the place that the media depicts. Don’t mind the location, totally worth it, Belgian and authentic, that’s what matters !)

Brasserie with a Soul. Warm welcome, waiter and waitress were attentive and professional. The owner was charming. Food was delicious and delicate, I will be definitively back with company. During January, don’t miss the Choucroute month. Thanks to the fork for this discovery outside of my area.

The main (carbonnades) was really good, and a good portion too. It came with chips, crispy salad and a rich sauce. The dessert (tart tatin) was not so good, and the ice cream was already melted on the plate. The service was a bit lacking as the man seemed to be very rushed despite there not being so many people dining. The woman was kinder and always had a smile on her face, which was nice to see. The ambience could have been improved as the furniture is old and the room feels like it could be with some touching up. We booked with a 20% discount on food but this was only applied to the mains, not to the dessert. I later checked the rules on The Fork and found out that desserts should be part of the deal too, but it was too late to complain.

The appetizers were excellent eg chicken & asparagus soup and the beef carpaccio. Appreciated the little extras when we first arrived eg chips ans bread with butter. The server Ismael was very welcoming and made us laugh with his antics. The "big" boss, Marco was friendly and also made us feel welcome.

A typical old-style Brussels brasserie with the same usual clients and an extra friendly staff. Great food and a thoughtful welcome by the patron. Will happily come again if in this part of Brussels.

It is a place to visit for the nice experience of eating at Belgian brasserie. The service is great and entertaining, the atmosphere is vivid and pleasant. The food is your typical Belgian food with all classical dishes on the menu. For those who are fond of it, it would be very nice. With Fork deal the final bill is very reasonable.

The staff was charming and very friendly. They also served a phenomenal amuse bouche of croquettes and a carrot soup with peanuts that I keep thinking about.

Everything was good except that after the main dish, personnel of the restaurant forgot that we exist. Nobody came to ask us if we want dessert or anything else. In the end we asked for receipt and left.

The two waiters who served us were absolutely lovely - kind, attentive, and passionate about their food. They even offered us a taste of their incredible tartaar, a local delicacy that this restaurant seems to master perfectly. We've stay here for dinner, it is a lovely place, a traditional belgian brasserie. The duck, beef and tartare are fantastic. The home wine selection is very very good. At last but not least, the guys are super gentle, smart, funny and witty. We thank them to have created a perfect mood. Congratulation to all.
