We had an excellent lunch experience. To start, we ordered the French onion soup, which was outstanding – rich, well-balanced, and full of deep, comforting flavor. We also shared a bottle of white wine that was fruity, refreshing, and paired wonderfully with the meal. For the main courses, we chose the beef bourguignon and duck confit. The beef dish was rich and earthy, with tender meat and a robust sauce that brought everything together beautifully. The duck confit was expertly cooked – crisp on the outside, tender on the inside – and served with a mildly sweet, refreshing sauce that complemented it perfectly. To finish, we shared a cheese platter along with a glass of red wine. It was a delightful end to a very satisfying meal. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would gladly return.

I don’t know how this place stays open off season- the food is mediocre at best- I had the beef bourguignon and it was a total mess- nothing was cooked together- the mushrooms raw, the carrots half cooked (steamed not cooked in sauce) the meat not tender or very flavorful- I just don’t understand why they even offered it. They snails tiny and little flavor (also served after the main course) …Waiter in such a rush that I had to ask if I could tell him we wanted something to drink because as soon as he got food order he turned and hurried away…Also the place is dirty and the bathrooms 3 world…just skip this if you want good food.

There was a language barrier; we did not speak French. However, the waiter was very helpful and patient with us. Once we got our food, he never came back! We needed salt and pepper. We were trying to make eye contact but he never looked our way. Our food started to get cold waiting for him to circle back around to us, but we eventually got it ourselves. We finally got his attention and asked for the check. He kept asking us if we wanted the rest of the buffet food. We declined because we were full and asked for the check again. He never came back with the check. When he finally looked our way, we made gestures as if we'd been waiting a while because several minutes had passed. HE STILL NEVER CAME WITH THE CHECK! Another employee apologized and came with our check. As far as the food? It was NOT worth the $52 for two people -- drinks, eggs, meat (baked beans and a garden salad was included, but we didn't eat it). We've had A LOT better quality food for less.
