The classics, done well. Between us we had mussels four different ways - all delicious - and a well cooked rabbit. With some fine beer. Good food for a first night in Brussels if you've just arrived on the train

Best belgique wafels ever. Good cocktails. Nice staff. Just a pity that it is cash only.

It was cosy, good portion size and tasty. My only cod burger was slightly overcooked but the tartare sauce was very yummy that was inside. I also had the garlic prawns which was my favourite thing and the sauce was absolutely delicious, I would come back just for that!

Good Belgian cuisine. Very friendly service. Tasteful dishes (e.g. nice portion of good quality cod fish and accompanied by vegetables).

Generally restaurant was fine, but fries were not good-almost burnt, apple tart was broken, cappuccino was just a coffee with milk - no foam.

Appetizer was plain (arugula, burrata, tomato, balsamic glaze), carbonade was okay - very fatty piece of meat that was hard to chew, and creme brulle was burnt. Overpriced for quality of food unfortunately.

Where should I start? I booked it through Tripadvisor link based on reviews. I know that the neighborhood is somewhat iffy, however, we decided to try it. The service was exceptional, the food is really good, the décor was great. My advice to fellow US travelers - don't assume that your dish, even if it sounds familiar, will be prepared the same way as it would be in the US. Ask questions and some of the dish descriptions in English may be misinterpreted. Regardless, the food was great, the beers (on tap) - outstanding. Book early or you may end up with no availability of you just show up.

Highly recommended, and we were not disappointed. Relaxing and charming atmosphere, and friendly skilled service. Don’t miss their cheese and shrimp croquettes and the Flemish stew, a specialty and traditional Belgian fare!

Very good service. Very good food (my colleagues from abroad really enjoyed it as well), nice atmosphere with good background music. We didn't wait to much for the dishes. Only downside I would see is maybe about where to park your car as the streets around are quite crowed.

Brasserie Saint-Nicolas provided an unforgettable dining experience. The mussels in creamy garlic, larger shrimp in butter, and uniquely cooked French fries showcased the culinary excellence. The pasta and lobster were a standout, and my perfectly crusted fish was a symphony of flavors. Impeccable service enhanced the overall enjoyment. The crème brûlée with Biscoff cookies and the recommended coffee sealed the meal as the best I've ever had. A truly exceptional experience at Brasserie Saint-Nicolas.

Very fine example of Belgian food -- excellent service, fair prices. We would certainly go back there again! I had the Flemish beef stew and my wife had Moules -- both wonderful.

We had a lovely lunch while waiting for Eurostar. The staff were very friendly and the menu was varied. There was a wide selection of beers including one that was non-alcoholic.

Super nice restaurant with a very nice waiter. We had a lovely time eating traditional food. The waiter advised us about a local beer from a nano brewery and it was very very good.

Lovely setting, good music and amazing Belgian food. The restaurant was very kind to hold our restaurant and still give us 20% off even though we were running late, and the waiters were all incredibly friendly. A great find and value for money if you want to avoid the city centre.

The meal started with a salad which was good.,however the dinner was awful. The fries were soggy and the burger was the worst! I could barely chew it!

We asked for the suggestion on the menu. The waiter said he recommends the duck, but when I said I will order the duck, he said he is out of it. So I ordered the chicken skewer- unfortunately, i wasnt able to eat much since most of the pieces were cooked med rare. Their noodle dish with meatball was not bad. Not much choice of wines - just 2.
