9/10We were made very welcome by the proprietor . The food was very good. It was a pleasant ambiance. The service was good albeit we did have to wait a while for the bill which made us a little late for a meeting. The moral is to ensure you have sufficient time to visit here. Overall very enjoyable experience

8.5/10The service was great, waitress and owner (I believe) very nice, with suggestions, small warm chit-chat...but also leaving us enough space that we did not feel they were bothering us. The food I wouldn't really give a ''grade'' as it is the first time I eat at a Surinamese restaurant. The meat was tasty and soft. Noodles were OK...I did not find it extremely good or bad...but I don't know if place or cousine.

10/10+4Real food from real persons. Denis and Rishma are simply amazing. They shared love through food, and shared a bit of their stories. It is like to eat at home, as family. The taste is also super! If you come to Rotterdan and seek for such a great experience, this is the place. And if you say "Renato and Renata" recommended this place, you can earn even more smiles 😉

9/10I went here with my mother and a friend, it was great. I can definitely say that this has been one of the best restaurants service wise, they give a personal touch to helping you and it’s great. The food was delicious and the ambiance was very nice!

10/10We enjoyed a wonderful three course dinner at Timmerhuis. Our gracious host was entertaining and engaging. The food is fabulous, home cooked and satisfying. The range of soft and alcoholic drinks is great too. We plan to return for a tasty lunch before we leave Rotterdam.

6/10Food quality is mediocre and service is quite slow. But staff is friendly. It’s a decent option with a 50% discount but I wouldn’t go there otherwise. They also applied a weird % of discount which wasn’t 50% so that was unfair and they forced us to order a main dish AND an entrée per person, even if we didn’t want

8.5/10Located in the heart of Rotterdam this restaurant is slightly hidden away but is a great place to dine. The staff were friendly and warm, helping to recommend some dishes to our colleagues who weren’t familiar with Surinamese cuisine. The portions were generous and balanced well. I think our guests from outside the Netherlands were impressed and satisfied. I would recommend it to others who want a hearty meal at a family restaurant.

10/10One of my favorite places in Rotterdam, excellent food, wonderful staff and an amazing vibe! The dishes looked absolutely gorgeous and the tastes are simply stunning. We had the oven chicken and prok, both cooked till perfection. The nasi and bami where wonderful, wasn't expecting so much flavour out of a simple dish! Can't wait to visit again to try the other dishes!
