The dishes were good and well-presented, but the appetizer and main course could have been at least 15 to 20% larger; the atmosphere was clean and pleasant, but the music was a bit loud.

There really was nothing to criticise, this is an extremely good restaurant in a city renowned for high quality food. Each course was beautifully prepared and presented. The staff achieved a perfect balance between formality and familiarity. Not the cheapest meal in Lyon but in my opinion it is very good value for money. I heartily recommend Brutal.

+2Everything seemed so balanced! There was never just 1 note from dish to dish so that the flavors stood out & didn’t feel like the same thing as you got your new dish. There were great elements of various temperatures, textures, sweet, savory, acidity…it was delicious! The ambiance was modern & tasteful & the service was fantastic. I’m from New York so you never know how you will get treated as a tourist but everyone was so kind & accommodating.

All I can say is wow! Came here for lunch after finding it in the Michelin guide, not yet rated but the write up seemed perfect for us. Firstly the service was 10/10 from both the wait staff. Baptiste (I hope that's how his name is spelt) even went out of his way to suggest some sights and restaurants in his home town were were planning on visiting the following week. Great drink recommendations too. The food was exceptional. 11/10. We had the 5 course lunch, which was extremely good value for what we got. The dishes were very creative, beautiful and most importantly very delicious. Perfectly balanced flavours and textures, ticking every box imaginable, so well done to the talented kitchen and head chef. We also enjoyed the music in the background...cool tunes, perfect volume. Really nice venue to spend a couple hours. It's only a matter of time before this place has some Michelin stars against its name. Go here.
