Mooi tafel for us reserved by the window, no alcohol so had alcohol free bier,,, this was flat,,, food good,,, Door from restaurant to WC needs updating,,,

Go there for the food only and forget the rest. Copious quantities of tasty meals at reasonable prices.

One of the most satisfying meals out I have had in a very long time. I usually don’t write reviews but I felt inspired to this time. Authentic flavours and great portion size. No alcohol on the menu had mixed feelings for me and the quality of the facilities was not as good as many THe Hague restaurants but it’s the food that counts eh :-)

We’re Californians visiting Den Haag and wanted some delicious and authentic Indonesian food. Bumble Jawa came up on our search as highly rated and we weren’t disappointed! Everything was delicious. I don’t know what “authentic” Indonesian food is supposed to taste like, but I know what tastes wonderful and Bumbu Jawa hit the spot.

Very good restaurant with very attentive staff. Quick servive with quality food. It is a nice way to test the indonesian culture. Love their menu options with the opportunity to test a small amount of different dishes.

I really enjoyed the meal had here. It was very tasty. I would certainly return again if I was in Den Haag. Service was friendly and quick. For the menu in Englush you need to scan a qr code on the menu.

We had a nice lunch. Knowing the Indonesian kitchen I can say there is an authentic taste. The service was good but we were not all served at the same time. Price wise it was fine.

With 4 friends we ordered the “Rijstafel” as their specialty but it did disappoint. The food was average at best, not presented well and the portions were too small. We left hungry. All of that would be acceptable in an eatery but they are charging full restaurant prices. This is not recommended, additionally no alcohol is being served which is also not clearly indicated.

This place is to be avoided. The service is a catastrophe. An hour after ordering 2 simple plates, we were told that we had to wait for another 10 minutes. We had already inquired twice before that final call. The ladies are totally underqualified. The place is dirty and they do not serve any alcohol. We paid for the beverages we had and left. Never go to that place,

Great food and atmosphere! Staff is a little bit inexperienced and waiting times are quite long. Staff is very friendly, but could benefit from one extra waiter. But the wait is worth it!

We ordered a table via The Fork, when we arrived that said it wasn’t available because they were counting on the fact that a table canceled them booking. We had to find another restaurant last minute

Food was delicious! Truly Indonesian :D Only downside was the rice, it was not hot anymore by the time the rest of the food arrived. But it was ok, since that food was so good! The waiter was clearly a little inexperienced, as he forgot our drinks and he spoke very softly in English. Some room for improvement ;) Would absolutely recommend!
