10/10This is food which pushes the boundaries, both on flavour as well as presentation. Service was outstanding, with a waiter / front of house who absolutely knew the provenance of the ingredients, as well as superb wine recommendations. Blown away by the crispy peppers & the lasagna - omg, what a meal!!!

10/10We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. The restaurant is cozy, cheerful and welcoming. The service was impeccable from beginning to end. The food was delicious…. everything was skillfully prepared with very fresh ingredients. The chef’s version of lasagna is a standout with sausage and mornay sauce. The brisket was very tender and served with a flavorful, light sauce and vegetables. The “fruit salad” with strawberry sorbet topped the meal off perfectly!

10/10Isabella was fantastic. We celebrated my wife Julie’s birthday along with Rosa and her family . The evening was fabulous, the meal delicious and Isabella truly a gracious host with every detail impeccable. Highly recommended when in Matera

10/10We found this restaurant via the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor and what an amazing dinner we had, the best food I ate in Puglia, good wine and very warm and nice staff who speak very good English and French and give perfect explanation and suggestions. If we come back to Matera we will visit you again for sure!!

10/10If in Matera, you should absolutely visit this restaurant! We got a starter with pepperoni cruschi, Cappelletti, swordfish and crepe as a dessert and everything was incredible. The service was top notch, it was my second time and I'll definitely be back.

10/10This restaurant serves wonderful and distinctive food. The staff are warm, welcoming and interested in the food they serve. Couldn't fault it. We have spent two weeks touring Southern Italy and eating out every night. This was the best of those experiences, by far.

10/10We had the best experience anyone could wish for. The food-incredible! Every plate was an artwork and every dish so unique and all cooked to perfection. A must if you are in Matera and worth the drive if you aren’t.

10/10I am really glad we chose Burro Salato for lunch in Matera. It was highly rated but it did not disappoint. Everything was excellent from starters to desert. The Peperone Crusco was the perfect start of the night, all the pasta was perfectly cook and tasted balanced and the deserts were also great, not to sugary so you can really taste different flavors. I also have to highlight the Ravioli Al Cacao E Carciofi, it was simply incredible. The Service was impeccable, nothing to say.

10/10Charming with food that is delicious! Our waiter, Guiseppe was knowledgeable and attentive. We also got attention from Isabella who I believe is the owner. Remember whipped ricotta with olives and the crema di zucca. Best Ive had since Florence.
