10/10The quality of the meat was really good, well worth the visit. The service was excellent as well. Have a good selection of Portuguese wines. Highly recommended

10/10This steakhouse is no joke. Not only does this restaurant sell food that is out of this world, but it also sells you an amazing experience where the ambiance of the place really compliments the quality of the food. As a first timer in Portugal and randomly have looked for a steakhouse and selecting a random one from a Google search, this is by far the best steakhouse I have ever been to. Really recommend this place. (This is one of those places where if you order medium rare, YOU WILL get medium rare).

6.5/10The host/manager was unhelpful and disinterested, giving the impression we weren’t welcome. We arrived in two groups—he ignored the second entirely. Our table was crammed against a wall; when I asked to shift it slightly (the next table had over 2 feet of space), he refused—then relented only after I began moving it myself. A bread dish came with fewer pieces than guests. One guest had food spilled on her during service, and the manager offered no apology—another staff member stepped in first. No goodwill gesture was made, and the item remained on the bill. When she brought it up on exit, his English suddenly diminished to “I’m sorry.” Every interaction with him felt strained, and the rest of the staff were lovely and seemed genuinely uncomfortable around him. The food was nice, but the host/manager's attitude soured the evening. We won’t be returning.

Superb food and excellent service. The provolone with toasted bread was delicious, the T-bone for two people was cooked to perfection with french fries and the lettuce salad with sun dried tomatoes, sauce and hazelnuts. As for dessert the brownie with ice cream and melted caramel on top was devine. Excellent experience.

4/10We have come at BYF for over 3 years but in 2024 the prices have gone up and quality of food and service down. We have today been there for the last time. The quality of the meal is not worth the money. Today the meat was raw when asked for medium, sent back to the kitchen and came back close to well-done. Sauce lumpy which a bearnaise is not supposed to be, pave with raw-tasting potatoes and a dessert with cinnamon ice cream when supposed to be vanilla, this we also sent back and didn’t receive the right one, ended up cancelling it. Very poor experience and we ate for the last time at BYF. A shame it has come to this, it was an amazing restaurant a year ago

10/10One of the best steaks I've ever eaten! An intimate restaurant with all table occupied, many by local Lisboa residents. The service and friendliness of the staff too helped make this a very special evening. There is nothing not to like about this wonderful eatery.
