9.5/10Solid cooking, good presentation, and slightly above average prices. The restaurant features a large east-facing patio so outdoor dining should be quite pleasant during the warm season. Service was gracious. This one of the best traditional French restaurants in Meyrin.

10/10Very nice lunch outside. Great service. Menu of the day is moderate compared to regular menu. Food was super tasty. Very nice lunch. Perfect service. I would recommend it.

10/10This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly.Food is pretty good, some italian classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

8.5/10I definitely recommend this restaurant! The food, service and quality were great ! The only issue is that it was hard to find a slot for parking for us. We must go in the near residence. Nothing too bad!

7.5/10The food was tasty and it is quite clear that the products used are of good quality. We had the plat du jour starter and main. The starter was a poultry croquette and the main a shrimp risotto. The starter was delicious, however 9 CHF for one small croquette is frankly overpriced. Important to note that I am not one to shy away from pricey restaurants but even by my standards this was a bit of a stretch, especially for a lunch on a weekday. The risotto was lovely and the portion was just right. We also had a café gourmand to finish on a sweet tooth and were very satisfied with the desserts, especially the riz au lait. The chocolate mousse was a tad thick in texture and slightly too bitter for our taste. To sum up, the food was very nice. The service was mainly friendly, although a tad slow. My only comment, which quite frankly shocked me was when we arrived and I said we had a reservation for 2 people at 12:30 and I was told very abruptly on an unfriendly tone "a name would be useful", thus why I only put 3 stars for the service.

7.5/10Nice ambience and really excellent service but the food was not memorable. Portions were enormous though .. in fact the starter was oversized. All in all a tad expensive too.

10/10I’d passed by many times and thought it must be a cafe. I had no idea it was a restaurant until finding it on this app. There is underground parking just past the restaurant which is really convenient . The food was delicious, The mise en bouche fish soup was mouth watering. We had entrecôte which was seasoned to perfection, it was so tender that we didn’t need a steak knife. There was a very welcome addition of a few steamed vegetables which were surprisingly tasty. The fondant au chocolate with mango sorbet was heavenly! Our waitress was warm and friendly and really made us feel at home. We loved the decor. Would definitely recommend, and would certainly go back. A really enjoyable evening.

9.5/10The entrance was unassuming, could use some tall plants for outdoor dining privacy as it is next to a main road and tram stop. Luckily, we were seated inside as it was about to rain. The food was Absolutely Delicious, great atmosphere inside, friendly service...... everything I wanted in a dinner out. Would definitely recommend

9.5/10I like having my lunch here whenever i can.The food is Always Good, the Service is also Great, As i already mentioned before ,this restaurant needs to be Discovered. It is my 8 th time here and each time with different invites ,and everyone leaves with a Positive word for this restaurant and its quality and Price.Bravo .

10/10I believe that this restaurant needs to be more visited ,certainly it is in a new development zone and perhaps not received much publicity yet ,however it is my 8 th visit with 8 different people and each one was taken aback with the food and service.I truly advise a visit for yourselves.

8/10Café Hortus is a much welcome addition to the otherwise quite poor food landscape available in Meyrin. Staff is all female, from owner to cook and waitress, and this shows through. We are regulars and like eating on the terrasse.
