6/10Friendly staff and good food. staff a bit unexperienced and didnt give that extra. Quite loud and hard to hear when a big group of men entered the restaurant.

10/10Café Kuyl offers a fun menu with typical Dutch snacks like mini frikandellen and bitterballen. The "Dutch snack platter" is a must-try when you're in Amsterdam! It's the perfect way to enjoy local delicacies in a cozy setting.

4/10Great staff except for the chef! Food is terrible, the cooking oil they use was old sand all the fried chicken and fish was dark brown. Chicken burger was sent back but the replacement was still frozen inside. Other customers were leaving food uneaten and the next day both myself and daughter felt ill. The manager was great to understand and we didn’t pay but she must talk to the chef, to serve such poor food is inexcusable and I hope the owner looks at sorting this out. The location is perfect but the food isn’t.

9/10We really enjoyed the atmosphere and setting. It was warm and welcoming, with tasty food and delicious wine, at a good price. The cafe has a lovely, relaxed pub feel to it. The location is attractive and the place has a buzz without being hectic. It was the perfect place to wind down and enjoy the evening after a busy day sight seeing. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

8/10The location is right in the heart of Rembrandt Square which is a very lively place and plenty to see if you choose to sit on the terrace. We had a very large dog with us and they were more than happy to accommodate us all. The food was delicious and came out very quickly. We were a party of 3 for lunch and we had the Chicken burger, Chicken Satay, Beef stew loaded fries and they were all really good. The house made beer was so tasty and went well with what we ordered. The wait staff was friendly and we would definitely return to this restaurant.

8.5/10Took a punt on a random offer through the app and we were both blown away. The quality of the food and service was way above par. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, happily providing a few recommendations and advising good drinks to pair with our order. The ribs were cooked to perfection, the meat fell off the bones, and the portion sizes were more than adequate [for our European appetites]. The atmosphere was a bit quiet, but then we did head there midweek in December...

6/10The food was not really good. I really didn’t like what I ate, neither my friends. The Portuguese waiter was super nice with us, but then when paying with another waitress, she said we had to pay an extra beer we didn’t took and she was not super nice.

8.5/10Great little place. Food was great but standout by far was the service and the staff. Super attentive, gave great recommendations, and the absolute standout was the gent with the long hair. He was such a sweetheart to every single person he served, even the difficult ones. Star.

8.5/10The restaurant was very comfy on a Monday evening as it was almost empty. Beautiful decoration and the Portuguese waiter were very nice, helped us with some recommendations. The food was very tasty, almost 10/10. We had one issue though; at the end of our night, we paid extra money by card due to an error and when we asked for a refund, we got cash back. Not a big deal. I would highly recommend it.

10/10We had a lovely meal here for lunch so decided to book for my partners birthday a couple of days later. Lovely restaurant and beautiful food. Once the staff heard that it was his birthday, they bought a dessert with a candle and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to him. It was really lovely of them. Staff were so friendly and service was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting Amsterdam.

9/10Very nice service, and very polite waitress. I booked via the fork and everything was great. Very quick response on the platform. When we arrived the table was already waiting for us :) overall a great experience.
