7/10Service was excellent. Escargot and chèvre toast was ok. I was expecting more flavor for the escargot and the chèvre was not warm enough to spread onto the toast.

8.5/10Excellent desserts and a good restaurant for brunch or lunch when in Saint Germain des Pres. The soup a l’oignion and the pavlova are very much recommended. It’s noisy because of the amount of people but lovely decoration. The only problem is I paid directly through the Fork app and we had a discussion because they thought I didn’t pay, and literally they chased me. Besides that a good option.

10/10This was our first meal after arriving in Paris, and set the tone for a wonderful vacation. The cafe was beautiful, food was delicious, and the staff were unmatched. Highly recommended!

10/10I am so glad this little cafe was recommended. I had wanted to go to the tourist spots (also where Henry Miller had frequented), but my family was short on time before a tour at the Orsay, and the service here was quick at breakfast: Perfect pastries, coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, and sons opted for a proper omelette. The ambience is hip, the service efficient and friendly to dumb foreigners like myself. Really appreciate their efforts and a wonderful introduction to the city.

9.5/10We were delighted to get a booking at this restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food even better. We were seated in the basement section at a lovely oval table that was perfect for our group of 6.

10/10Wife and I loved this restaurant. It was our first restaurant in Paris and then it was also our last chosen restaurant, because we had such a good experience the first time. My wife couldn't stop raving about the sole meuniere and my chicken curry dish was exceptional. And the desserts offered in the cafe gourmand were amazing as well. I hope we get to come back one day.

9.5/10We had a great time. The waiter was very polite, friendly, and professional. One of us is vegan, and the waiter went the extra mile to make sure we could have a nice meal. For the vegans: order the vegetarian burger without cheese and a ratatouille (even if it’s not on the menu). The Chardonnay was great too.

9.5/10My wife, daughter and I happened upon this restaurant last Sunday after reading numerous street menus and seeing they offered onion soup. We were not disappointed! My wife says their onion soup is the best she ever had. Tonight, based upon our earlier experience, we returned. Our meals were outstanding! I had the duck and they had gnocchi, both of which were superb. We enjoyed onion soup again, which was even better than before. Our server was gracious and extremely efficient. The bill was very reasonable, making this Cafe a real value!

4.5/10Went as part of Paris pass. Expecting more for a traditional French breakfast… as advertised. Croissants were squeezed a little flat , as though they’d been there for awhile. Not really with the time to go there. As a result, we cancelled a dinner reservation we had made.

3.5/10We walked in for Sunday brunch and it looked like such a cute and beautiful place. The waitress was clearly under a lot of pressure and ran off without asking if we wanted to order anything. We managed to flag her down, and she was very polite, but ran off again without letting us finish the order so we had to flag her down again. 2 coffees arrived ICE cold - then eggs benedict arrived ICE cold. The waitress was sorry about it, but there was no concern to try and make the experience better. We were going to order something else but it was so hard to get her attention, and we were worried that everything that came out the kitchen would continue to be poor quality, we just paid and left. So sad - it looked SO sweet in there but I think they must have been severely understaffed in the kitchen and upstairs. The food was genuinely awful, and they still charged us 90 Euros. So if you want to spend a lot of money on cold food and zero care, you're in the right place. Otherwise I'd try somewhere else.

10/10Love this little cafe. While across the street people Wait in line at cafe de flor and Les Deux Magots and end up feeling rushed with mediocre service, this little gem provides delicious food, generous portions, happy servers and excellent service. Nice array of choices on the menu and a lovely wine list as well. We’ve been back twice since our first visit and plan to do breakfast tomorrow. Highly recommended.

4/10Well, I understand that smoking is tolerated in the outdoor area’s of restaurants in Paris, but the minute we entered the restaurant you could smell smoke! We sat down and the smoke was terrible and as a non smoker that was just unacceptable! We were already thinking about leaving since the smoke was intolerable but when we noticed that several items were not on the menu that we expected to be, that was the clincher! Never coming back!!

8/10Very beautiful atmosphere, booked with The Fork 30% off for a morning brunch so the place was calm. The food is overall good, viennoiseries were excellent, loved the sausage, the rest of salty dishes were so and so (eggs liquidy and heavy, quiches were tasteless). For the discounted price would say is very good, but the regular price is high for what it is.

4/10This was our second time at Cafe Louise. We brought friends as we so enjoyed our first meal, which was lunch. This was for dinner and it was not only disappointing but was so bad we will not be returning. First off there was music playing and it was so loud we could hardly hear each other talk. One of the things I love about restaurants in France is the absence of background music or TV. All the music did was make everyone in the restaurant talk louder which increased the noise level even more. Then there was the wait. We arrived at 8pm. Ordered our meal by 8:20. Did not receive our food until 9:40! And at not time while we were waiting did the waiter approach us and apologize or explain the delay. We will not be returning.

10/10We have been coming to Cafe Louise on our trips to Paris for several years. It's in a touristy area, but it sill feels French and the food is simple, authentic and delicious. Sitting outside and watching all the action on the Saint-Germain-des-Prés is perfect, but it's really lovely inside as well. On my last visit, I ordered something new and didn't realise it came covered in cheese. I am pregnant and having weird food aversions and they took it back and got me something else. It's easy to be intimidated by French service, but they were so nice and accommodating.
